Laura and the rest of the staff were incredibly helpful in our trip to Florence. She is absolutely the best. She and Tani helped us make museum reservations that were exactly what we were looking for. The rooms were clean and spacious. Beds were comfy and showers were fine. We had a great trip and were extremely happy with our...

I was here June 5th - 9th. Had a beautiful, very modern, chic room Looked brand new. The staff was always helpful and accomodating. Answered my questions on sight-seeing, bus to Siena and WiFi (it's free in the common areas). Before I arrived, I e-mailed them to make reservations for me at the Accademia which was done. I also asked...

We stayed at this hotel for two nights during our trip to italy. We made reservation online prior to the trip and staff were helpful with making museum reservations. We received a warm reception from the hotel staff when we arrived, which was mid-morning. The maid who showed us to the room was not so friendly. The room was very...

My only negative about this place is the small bathroom and shower stall - a bit hard to maneuver. However, otherwise, we LOVED Hotel Perseo. From the kind & friendly staff, to the lavish breakfast (bread, pastry, meat, cheese, cereal, OJ, cappucino), to the clean modern room with excellent air-conditioning, and TV with CNN in English. They even gave us...

Central location near the Dome, very clean bedroom and bathroom, spacious double room, friendly stuff. We felt instantly at home. The personal was very amiable and offered us - returning completetly exhausted from our sightseeing tour in the evening - several delicious free cappuccinos during happy hour. The solid breakfast buffet contained toast, rolls, buns, butter, marmelade, breakfast cereals, yoghurt,...

Once the elevator doors to the third floor of the unassuming building open, the Hotel Il Perseo provides a warm welcome to the weary traveler. We arrived, serendipitously, right at Happy Hour, when the hotel offers a free glass of wine and snacks to its guests. The public areas, while small, are comfortable and immaculately clean. The rooms are spacious...

Clean, modern, centrally located, friendly staff, coffee in a snap. Louise knew we had a limited amount of time and quickly guided us on how to make the most of it. I was amazed at how quiet it was given that it was less than two blocks from the Duomo. In person the rooms were even more attractive than they...

Hotel Perseo was fantastic. Located centrally. Fantastic staff - really helpful and relaxed. Modern, clean and air-conditioned rooms. Spot on and well worth the money. Would definitely recommend and would definitely stay there again if/when we visit Florence. It's rare to find such a fantastic hotel.

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
