If you want to feel as if you are in Florence as a guest of a friend or relative, and if you prefer staying in a large room in a lovely villa, away from the noise of the city, then Villa La Sosta is right for you. Owners Giuseppina and Antonio Fantoni go out of their way to treat you... More

This is a haven in the rather crowded and polluted Florence. It's a great place to come back to each day as it is in its own quiet grounds. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the absence of phone and in-room tv is actually very peaceful. There is access to both in the house if you desire, however. Breakfast... More

My wife and our two kids stayed here recently and found the service and stay great. Antonio the owner, was very welcoming and it was a nice change from some of the hotels we had stayed in. It was set in a lovely area of florence, and antonio was very helpful in recommending some excellent restaurants and wineries nearby. The... More

<<its difficult to resist superlatives about Tony and Josey @ Villa Sosta... They were unfailingly helpful, fun and informative. We soon felt completely at home and began to enjoy ourselves almost immediastely. The Villa is a handsome structure, completely restored in 2001, and is a treasure. Our room, which had been their grandfathers, was furnished with lovely, comfortable antiques and... More

Villa La Sosta is a beautiful villa outside the old city at an average good value. I had the opportunity to be in three rooms there, as I was traveling with family. The owners were extremely helpful with all of our plans, which is crucial since there are no phones in the rooms. They recommended very good restaurants and are... More

We loved our stay at Villa La Sosta. My husband and I traveled through Italy for our anniversary and just loved our stay in Florence. The room we were in was huge, especially compared to the 'normal' size European room. We took bus 25 into town each day, which was very simple since you can buy tickets across the street... More

Villa La Sosta is a very nice B&B. We had large bedroom with a typical Europen bathroom. Although there is no AC, Antonio provides misquito traps to keep them out of the room - if you choose to open a window. We had no problems. Breakfast is simple. Meats and cheeses were packaged (but very good). There is coffee, cereal,... More

A family home passed down to the children, this private residence became a B&B. We stayed in the Olimpia Room - 1 double bed and 2 single beds - for my wife and I and my two children for one night. Room was spacious with large windows and those pesky mosquitos. A little VAP (electrical appliance whcih kills mosquitos) took... More

“We stayed in the Camera Dei Nonni which was so very charming and comfortable, if you don't mind a more antiquated hand-held shower. The AC unit is a bit loud but I slept better than I ever have while traveling and I think it was the white noise effect! Loved this room...”
