I was looking for somewhere in central Florence that could cater for a party of 7 on a budget, and I found a gem in Relais Cavalcanti! From the moment I sent my first email requiring about availability, Anna and Francesca were really helpful. They sent me all the information about what they offered and the website itself has plenty...

We cheated by booking there after three sets of friends stayed there at various times during the last 3 years. After listening to them we knew this would be our choice as well. We enjoyed a great location - easily within walkiing distance of major attractions e.g., Uffrizi. Galleria de Accademia, Duomo, Ponte Vecchio. Our room was quite roomy (with...

We stayed at this hotel for three nights and thought it was perfect for our needs. The location is excellent - all the major sights are a short walk away. The room itself was clean and comfortable, and the bathroom was quite spacious by European standards. They do not offer breakfast, but there are many cafes nearby where we could...

I wrote the Relais Cavalcanti's first TripAdvisor review years ago and I just returned for a 2nd stay September 16th-19th. All of the wonderful things I remembered are still true! It is an affordable, perfect gem tucked away in the heart of the beautiful city of Florence. We booked the superior room named Pontormo, which was spacious (the bathroom alone...

Stayed in Relais Cavalcanti in early Sept '07 with wife and two small children while touring Florence. Loved this place, and would definitely stay here when we return to Florence. Location is perfect, walk down the stairs and you are in the middle of everything! Do note that this place is somewhat hard to find. The email sent by the...

We had a late summer break for four days in Florence and stayed in Il Villino. I would highly recommend it as somewhere to stay. Very well positioned with helpful friendly staff. Our room was lovely. No complaints at all.

We stayed here with our 2 children, 12&15, in the heat of July. We walked from the train station (15 minutes) using the hotel map and a city map we purchased. We rang the bell, listened for the buzzer, and walked up a flight of drab stairs to reach the small elevator. Once we got past that first flight of...

My husband and I have just returned from our trip around Italy, we stayed in many hotels but in all the time we never met a better host than Anna. She was fabulous, when we arrived she had a map ready with her recommended restaurants and places to see, it was perfect. Nothing was too much trouble, she reserved tickets...

It is the third floor of a XIII century townhouse, located within 5 minutes walk of Ponte Vecchio, Uffizi, Palazzo Vecchio and Il Duomo). I stayed two nights in a single. It is very clean and charming---for the single, think college dorm room size, but with a full private bathroom (shower/sink/toilet and the ubiquitous bedet). There is individual room air...

Staying in Uffizi

Neighbourhood Profile
Uffizi
Every visitor coming to Florence for the first time will immediately identify with Uffizi. As in past times, passing through Via dei Calzaiuoli, you can reach the city center, the Florence that everybody dreams of. In just a few steps, visitors can experience the rare beauty of the capital of the Renaissance. walking delighted across Palazzo Vecchio and overlooking Piazza della Signoria, up to the Loggia of the Uffizi where it is possible to fully taste the talent of the best artists who animated Florence over the centuries. When the sun goes down, there’s nothing better than a walk along the river Arno up to the ancient bridge, Ponte Vecchio. It is full of jewels and decorated by the colors captured in postcards.
