We spent only one night at Globus, but we really enjoy the hotel. It is very near from the rail station and just 5 min to the Duomo Square and lot of restaruants. The room (on the third floor) which was given to us, had a small private terrace and was spotless clean. Big surprise: Sky tv channels in our...

This was a nice, very reasonablely priced hotel in Florence. It is only about a 4 block walk from the train station. The rooms were small but very clean. There was a tiny elevator that the staff used to bring up your luggage. The hotel reception is on the 2nd floor, the rooms are above that. It was a 4...

Overall we were very pleased with our room. The hotel is very small (only 23 rooms) and the room (we booked an economic twin) was small but that's to be expected in most of all of Europe. The owner and the staff were very efficient and friendly. We were able to walk to our hotel from the train station in...

The owner that runs the Globus is wonderful -- I felt as if I were visiting friends who wanted to ensure that my trip was perfect. Location was great, and the hotel was lovely. They gave excellent restaurant recommendations and made reservations for me at the galleries I wanted to visit. They also offer free internet access, which is a...

Thanks to the great reviews here, we were ready to enjoy our stay at the Globus and at the beginning all signs pointed to a positive experience. However it was a bittersweet experience. My friend and I arrived on a Wednesday for a five night stay having booked two single rooms at a rate of 60 Euros a night each....

Management response:

Dear Guest, we read about the problems you went through and we would like to deeply apologize for those, but unfortunately, such issues are not in our control. For what concerns the noise coming from the disco, we were informed about it a few days earlier by other guests, that's why we contacted the Nucleo Ambientale of the local Polizia...

Perfect location, next to main train station and no more than 5 minutes walk from the Duomo and the Uffizi Gallery. Our superior room was very clean and spacious, the bath-tube was lovely and we also enjoyed a nice view of Medici Chapels. It was also very quiet, although it was at the back of the hotel so this may...

Only a one night stay for us in Firenze but were really very lucky to have found Globus (thanks to everyone who bothers to add good as well as bad comments on hotels through Trip Advisor). We booked two single rooms but both had double beds in any case overlooking front of building. Both rooms had big storage units and...

The Hotel Globus is in a wonderful location. An easy 5-10 minute walk from the train station and 5-10 minutes to the Duomo area or Accademia. The street market area is just around the corner for great shopping. We had a double superior room which was the largest room we have ever had in Europe. Plenty of room to keep...

What can I say? My girlfriends and I toured all over Europe this summer, stayed at a number of three and four star hotels, but the best hotel for me is undoubtedly Globus. First of all, the location is fantastic. The Duomo is a 5-minute walk away, and so is the train station where tourists can catch the bus-tours (w/c...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Hotel Globus was completely renovated in June 2016. The new reception area, located on the street level of Via Sant'Antonino, is now connected to all rooms thanks to our new elevator. The new breakfast area overlooks a small courtyard with a nice vertical garden. Our staff is a mixture of all ages, languages, cultures and countries, always smiling and willing to offer you tips on places to visit, restaurants to try. They're always there for you. For what regards our location, it is definitely one of the key features of Globus. The proximity to all the Santa Maria Novella train station and all main attractions, including the Duomo, both major museums (Uffizi and Accademia Galleries) or Ponte Vecchio, among others, makes it very easy to plan even the busiest day without the need to lose time getting from the hotel to your desired location. What makes our neighbourhood special though is definitely the Mercato Centrale, located just around the corner from here. In the morning, that is where you want to go if you're planning to buy some food to take back home, or simply want to try the famous Tuscan specialties, "trippa" and "lampredotto". Where this place shines though is the 1st floor, open from 10am until midnight. It's a big, modern open space with many restaurants, serving a variety of really delicious food. Make sure to check it out! ... more   less
