The staff are very helpful and friendly and the rooms clean. The breakfast is simple but good. For a family of 5, we booked two rooms - both with washrooms.

Not what I expect to have in my family vacations.
Got a big room for 4.
Here what's inside: Six single beds with small coffee tables in between, two basic cloth chests and one table and two or tree chairs... honestly it felt like a...More
I tend to stay a little off the beaten path but walking distance to the city center. These accommodations are in an old monastery in a local neighborhood with great restaurants. The room we had for 3 was spacious and the breakfast in the morning...More
This hotel is great if you're looking to stay in an area of Florence with more locals than tourists. There are lots of great local places to eat nearby (without the ridiculously high prices) and the hotel is only a short walk over the river...More
A poor start with a rude receptionist. The introduction to the rooms was poor they look like cells with no TV and what appears to be a bedsheet for a towel. Our bathroom was in our room but because of the position of the window...More

A warm evening with a cocktail in your hand and great company is the ideal way to experience Piazza Santo Spirito; the area is busiest at sunset for happy hour. Visitors cannot hide their astonishment sitting on the staircase under the Basilica of Santo Spirito, and they cannot help but stare at the architectural masterpieces like Bianca Cappello House, Fontana dello Sprone and San Frediano in Cestello and Santa Maria
delle Carmine churches. Tourists and Florentines alike join up in the area between Santo Spirito and San Frediano, connecting the Tuscan soul to the international spirit permeating the city.

We did find out that the desk had hair dryers that they would "loan" out to guests that had apparently been left by former guests. While "no frills", this was a very comfortable stay. Loved the atmosphere! Quiet, too, while being within easy walking distance of the best Florence has to offer. Take the desk clerk's advice on where to go to dinner in the area. Fabulous!! Friendly, excellent food, and wonderful service. Couldn't have been happier!
