Excellent location - very close to the Duomo. Nice, large rooms that are exceptionally clean. Good breakfast. Very friendly and helpful staff. We would stay here again.

This hotel was absolutely wonderful! The rooms are fully remodeled(marble bath) and incredibly neat. You couldn't ask for a better location! Between the great rooms, the location and the price, you can't go wrong. Would definitely stay here again.

OK I will start that we stayed here because the hotel we were booked at didn't have a room so they sent us here. We ended up being very pleased. We were here for our 1st night in Florence and the best thing is the location. It is very close to the Duomo and right off Calzaiuoli which has some...

A traveling companion and I stayed at the Benivieni for two nights in September. The location is in the center of the action, yet its unassuming side-street location means it is completely quiet and peaceful. The rooms are small, but they sparkle, and the facility has been beautifully updated, including state-of-the-art bathrooms. The hotel owners love Americans and could not...

We stayed here for 4 nights in mid-September. The staff was very friendly. The location was great and central to the main sites. The room was a bit smallish, but clean. The bathroom was very clean. The shower stall leaked and was small, but manageable. The bed was okay, but the pillows were flat and hard. The windows did not...

Hotel was located 1/2 block from the Duomo. All Florence sites were so easy to walk to. The owners are so very friendly. It is just like staying with "family".

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
