We stayed here in May. I had the room with the window facing the patio, but had access to the patio right outside my room. My parents had a room facing the patio with doors leading onto it. We all loved staying at this little hotel. It is personal as the owners live there and both are very friendly and... More

Many of the previous reviewers have described the warmth and charm of this Hotel. Carmen and Pino provide a warm welcome and are endlessly helpful. We left our camera on a city bus on a Sunday afternoon! Carmen's extraordinary connections and quick thinking result in our being able to pick up the camera from the bus depot. But more importantly... More

Hotel Bargellino was perfect for a couple of gals traveling together. Location is near all the main sights, with easy walking to everything. Carmel, the owner is welcoming, and lovely to deal with. She even supplied ear plugs for the rooms street side. (There are rooms that open onto an interior rooftop patio). Everything was so very clean and well... More

I stayed at Il Bargellino for 10 days in September. This B&B was recommended by my friend who knew the owners, Carmel and Pino. The location was fantastic, easily accessible to all major sites and the train station. Pino and his niece Rosita were so helpful! Rosita helped me plan day trips to Cinque Terre and Siena/Chianti. The hotel was... More

A wonderful, convenient place to stay in Florence. The room was spacious, comfortable and very clean. Having access to the patio was one of the favourite things about our stay, we had our breakfast in the morning sunshine and felt so fortunate.

This hotel didn't disappoint. It said what it was going to do. It's a basic hotel with no frills. Very eclectic in style. Our Room was on the first Floor ( no lift) and was spacious and spotlessly clean. The room opened out onto a pleasent and spacious courtyard. It would have been wonderful if there was an option for... More

Great hotel, adorable terrace, very clean and comfy, perfect location, the owners are very nice and helpful, free snacks in our room, great shower. This place feels very Italian too - we loved it! Room has fridge, hair dryer, and hotel is 6 minute walk to a big grocery store. Lots of restaurants nearby too.

We had a comfortable, spacious room with private bath. Our room opened onto a large communal flower filled terrace that was a great place to enjoy a glass of your own wine and meet some of your fellow guests. The hotel is in easy walking distance from he train station and all major Florentine sights. There was no TV, if... More

We loved this hotel! The room was massive compared to other places we stayed in Italy, the bathroom a little small but a ok trade off since you don't spend much time in there. The location was great, close to the train station and in a less noisy street but only a 10-15 walk into the main attractions. Would definitely... More

An old building with few modern features. In saying this our bed was comfortable and the shower hot. The toilet was in a corner so if you were tall you could find it awkward. Our room opened onto a delightful terrace. It did become a smokers spot but was also lovely sit on and enjoy the lovely Florence weather. It... More
