We absolutely loved staying at the Hotel Il Bargellino. Days spent sight seeing and then back to the hotel to relax on the terrace with Carmel, Pino and several other guests staying there. The hotel is just what you need, we had a comforable bed, a bathroom, a refrigerator in our room and close to everything. Thank you for a...

The hotel Il bargellino is in a covenient location, especially if travelling by train. Our family truly felt welcome at the hotel from the minute we arrived. Afternoons on the patio always were great. Whether drinking wine or having one of Pinos spurr of the moment bruchettas. Just be careful to hit the sack before 3 am.... The hotel was...

This was my third stay with Carmel and Pinot at Hotel Il Bargellino. The hotel is in a perfect location: close to the train station and close to the Duomo. The proprietors Carmel and Pinot are helpful, accomodating, and very personable. although breakfast is not served, Carmel offers a "cofee set-up" for the morning if you tell her. She is...

We have stayed at Hotel Il Bargellino four times. We have enjoyed the hospitality of Carmel & Pino. It is located close to muesums, train station, the marketplace and great restaurants. The terrace on the second floor is fantastic. We would sit out after a long day of shopping and sightseeing drinking local wine and enjoying the atmosphere. We are...

My daughter and I traveled to Florence as a college graduation gift. Il Bargellino came recommended to us by friends and we were not disappointed. Il Bargellino is a small, intimate hotel. Carmel and Pino, the proprietors, are friendly, helpful, and attentive. They made museum reservations for us, recommended wonderful restaurants and pizza cafes. The hotel is very convenient to...

The rooms were very spacious and clean, there’s a great terrace outside, but most importantly, Carmel and Pino are the most amazing hosts. They were so helpful, warm and friendly, they even threw us a birthday party which they invited all the other guests to! The hotel is very close to the Central Market and San Lorenzo market, walking distance...

Very nice basic hotel located about 5 minutes' walk from the SMN train station. Spacious, clean room. No TV. Cool terrace to hang out on. Watch out for the parrot - he bites! I did want to share one tip about finding the place. When you reserve the room in advance, Carmel sends you an email with detailed directions on...

I also booked this 'hotel' due to the rave reviews posted here, and have mixed feelings. While the owners seemed nice enough rarely did I see them during the stay so I can't really speak to that too much. In comparison to the prices I paid in Venice, Tuscany and Rome it is cheaper though when you convert the Euro...

We always strive to do our best at the Hotel Il Bargellino and we appreciate all feedback. It is unfortunate we were unable to provide a completely positive experience in this case. Any guests in need of service should not hesitate to ring either of two bells on and by the front desk. My husband and I live on the...

Hotel Il Bargellino is not for those seeking luxury, but it was one of the more pleasant stays I've ever had in Europe. Carmel and Pino are friendly and dedicated to customer service, and staying here is like being guests in their home. The rooftop terrace, with parrot, is a great place to relax at the end of a day....
