Hotel Lorena is a great and affordable, classical, warm family hotel in the heart of Florence. It has a very friendly service, we were helped with all our questions and requests. We enjoyed it a lot on our 3 day visit to Florence in August 2016.

I lived at this hotel for 4 months 40 YEARS ago. Had a wonderful time there. Great clean room with a view of the Duomo. Very pleasant & accommodating staff. Glad to see it's still around & has good reviews.

Booked the king size room which was facing the piazza and a good view of the church in front and we had our own bathroom. I love this hotel. It is cozy, great location and good value. The breakfast was sufficient. I liked the cute elderly in the front desk who looked after us. This is a cute little hotel...

Went here with a group and had a good stay. Room and bathroom are comfortable for Florence standards. Staff was very kind and helpful. The location was great - just a few minutes walk from the train station. A/C was a little hard to get to work. Tip: the gelato stand across the street is one of the best I've...

We decided to spend five nights in Firenze, making it our 'base'. It was clean. The folks at the desk were very helpful. The streets outside were very noisy. But the windows and shutters kept most of it out. We chose to eat at the coffee shop in the corner

Basic and slightly dated hotel with welcoming staff. No parking. The private local parking garages are expensive so this is less suitable for someone driving. Rooms are simple with decent showers. Air conditioning in rooms. Basic breakfast provided. Location is ideal for anyone eager to explore centre of the city by foot. Lots of nearby restaurants and cafes.

I was hesitate about booking this hotel as I had visions of backpackers in a hostel type of setting. However, at breakfast the first morning, I had a pleasant chat with a lawyer! This was just the beginning. I had a spacious room with a view facing the square. The windows were double paned so there was no noise at...

We were welcomed by a very friendly lady who explained everything and showed us the best places to visit on the map. Our room was small but clean. There are shared bathrooms in this hotel, but some rooms (including ours) have a small private bathroom with a shower and a toilet. Wifi reception was good. The only downside was the...

I have no negative things to say about this hotel; It is in a fabulous location (5 minutes max walking from the Duomo and in the other direction 5 minutes max from Santa Maria Novella Station), the gentleman at the desk was extremely helpful and kind, and the included breakfast was good (similiar what you expect from Italian breakfasts). The...

Room was very comfortable. Good size, Nice bathroom. Windows are modern that block street noise well but can be opened for ventilation. Only a short walk to the main cathedral. Do not miss the Medici Chapel that is literally across the street. Located just a few blocks from the train station.
