My husband, daughter and I stayed here while visiting Florence. The hotel is very centrally located and we found it to be very affordable. The staff at the hotel were extremely accommodating - very happy to make reservations for us, answer all of our questions and even print out train schedules for us. The hotel does offer breakfast, afternoon tea...

HOTEL’S FAVOURITE REVIEW

This is a small family hotel run by three generations; grandpa is still greeting guests at the tender age of 93! The son and grandsons are wonderful helpful hosts and all the staff is helpful and pleasant in all manner of ways. The location is centrally located for all attractions and the museum and restaurant recommendations were most helpful.

We just returned from our stay here and loved it. The staff was warm and welcoming, the afternoon happy hour was a lovely service they provided and the hotel was very centrally located. They also offered a tea which we were unable to attend, but I'm sure would have been very nice. The rooms are simple, yet clean and charming,...

I holiday as much as possible and as I work hard for my money tend towards 4&5 star hotels as a treat, even though I usually just want somewhere to rest my head. I almost didn't book this as it was only 3 stars ... I would have missed a real treat. Quiet simply, the best hotel I've stayed in....

This hotel is quaint. Some steps to get up, but well worth the climb. This family owned hotel is in the perfect location. The staff helped us to find restaurants that fit what we were looking for. There is a free happy hour every afternoon. Amazing! Will go back!!!

We stayed here for two nights in the off season and the hotel was almost full! Lots of Italian families, return visitors and some glowing reviews meant this was an easy choice. Rooms are nice and cosy and the shower was brilliant, there was no street noise at all and a very comfy bed. We loved the mini iPad for...

This was a lovely hotel to stay in. Very pleasant room, staff and neighborhood. They were very accommodating and provided a ipad with data. This proved to be very useful. We could walk everywhere. We did try one of the restaurants they recommended and it was only so so. The gym that they provided us passes for was also quite...

I really loved the location of the hotel. It was close to everything, and really easy to find. It's pretty much right next to all the shopping areas, and downtown Florence, in general. The hotel itself is really quaint and has a nice decor. Their breakfast is typical, but it's nice that the have a daily happy hour, and snacks...

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
