This is a small boutique hotel in the heart of the tourist district of Florence. A tiny ancient elevator gets you up to the 2nd floor (3rd floor by US counting), where you meet the super friendly and helpful husband & wife that are your desk staff. Don't expect a bellboy, or Miami Beach highrise here. What you get is...

The hotel is located on the second floor of the building at the heart of old Firenze, you can see the top of the Duma dome from the rooms. The staff was very helpful and very nice, trying to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The rooms are good and have a very authentic look but still very functional....

Excellent location and very friendly hosts. My room was very clean, the bed was comfortably firm, and the breakfast was delicious. I felt appreciated as a guest. The hosts were very helpful and truly made me feel like a member of their family. I based my stay on other Trip Advisor reviews and was not disappointed. I would definitely stay...

Great location & excellent value for money. I stayed one night for business and then my wife & daughter joined me for a further two nights. This hotel is wonderfully quiet at night - amazing given just how central it is. My sincere thanks to hosts Miriam & Robert for making us feel welcome.

Resonably priced hotels are so difficult to find in Florence, but this one makes you feel like you've hit the jackpot. The owners, Robert and Miriam, will be your new best friends... helpful and accommodating in every way. However, for me, the absolutely perfect location and the killer view of the Duomo from my window have made it my "go...

I’ve just returned from a lovely 6 day holiday in Florence – made all the better by my stay at the Hotel Europa. The hotel is ideally situated, a few minutes’ walk from the Duomo (we could see Brunelleschi’s Dome and Giotto’s Bell Tower from our bedroom window). The historic centre of the city is within easy walking distance as...

We greatly enjoyed the family-run hotel. The owner/manager couple are very helpful and friendly. Miriam makes a mean cappuccino in morning. This along with a simple, but well presented breakfast made us feel very welcome. We had a triple room. For two people I recommend this as the extra space is nice. The room was very pleasant, but I would...

Robert & Miriam and their family are the most friendly and nicest people you could meet. They make you feel right at home. Very nice accommodations, good breakfast and right in the center of every place you would want to visit in Florence. I highly recommend Hotel Europa

My daughter and I stayed here for 6 nights in the middle of our 6 week Europe holiday for her 19th birthday. Where do I start? The position is perfect, close to the leather market and a short walk to the Duomo. Our room was divine, beautifully furnished, comfortable, with a balcony and view of the Duomo. I like to sleep...

We visited Florence in early October and booked this hotel through reviews online. The location is perfect, the staff were warm and welcoming and our accomodations were pleasant, comfortable, and right for the price. We even had a balcony where we could bring a late night snack and see the roof of the Duomo!

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
