In a beautiful old palace in the heart of Florence, at just 100 mt from the Duomo, I wanted to make true one of my best dreams. An inviting and comfortable house, furnished with antique furniture, Florentine tapestry and refined marble floors, ready to give hospitality to many friends all over the world and make sure their stay becames, as for me, a Florence Dream. Come, I'm waiting to spoil you, pleasantly.
Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travellers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.
This is a lovely B&B although they don’t serve breakfast! It is ideally located next to the Riccardi Medici Palace. A short walk to the Cattedrale di Santa Maria del Fiore, the heart of Firenze and numerous restaurants.
The room we had was large enough for 4 people. There is a/c and the beds and pillows were very comfortable. It’s quiet at night despite the bustling street to the front of the building.
There are stairs up to the 2nd floor where the entrance is, no lift. It’s an old building. It would be nice to have a mini fridge in the room, but that’s were the supermarket is useful.
We had no issues with the guest house and Merley, the manager/receptionist was very nice. We would stay here again and recommend this B&B.

Excellent location in the center, excellent cleanliness and very kind managers. The only flaw is that there is no lift and it is on the second floor but it can be done! The nice surprise are the period furnishings and furniture that make you feel welcomed by a real Florentine family. Come back to the ancient Florence history

This is a stylish and well located place for a good price. Our trip, in April 2024, was a happy one, with a three night stay. Some issues with cleanliness and water pressure, but some great decor and a location to die for, right next to San Lorenzo and the Ruccelai-Medici palace, both of which are excellent visits.

We stayed here on recommendation from a great B&B in Rome and we were not disappointed. Very nicely decorated and meticulously clean. The room was large with a nice bathroom and embroidered linens. It is very, very quiet in the B&B. The A/C works great. Breakfast is very good. Geoffrey was the only staff member we talked to and he was very nice and very helpful when we had questions. Good location - within walking distance of the train station and attractions. We would stay there again and recommend it to anyone.

Chose this hotel after reading about it in Rick Steves Florence 2006 book. Does not look like much from the street (actually hard to find since it's just a door) and two long flights up. Four of us had two rooms and both were spotless and delightful for the five nights we stayed there. Great location for walking around Florence. Quiet room, window looks out over a courtyard instead of the street. Bottled water provided. Laundromat about a five minute walk away, and you can bring hangers from the hotel. Small market across the street, perfect for grabbing a soda and a piece of fruit for the day. AC worked and was adjustable with a remote. Satellite TV, but few channels in English. The Lucretia room where we stayed was spacious, (king plus a single) but the bathroom was narrow, with an annoying 2 inch step up to get to the toilet and shower. We more than once tripped, ended up putting the bath mat down over it to remind us in the middle of the night to step up. There is a bidet, hair dryer, and heated towel rack handy for drying clothes or warming your towel in the morning. Corner shower is a stand up one, even has fancy jets, but is tiny. If you are are used to using a washcloth, bring your own throughout Italy. If you are obese don't think about this room, you won't fit in the shower. Breakfast was OK, no fruit, mainly carbs with cereal, yoghurt, juice, croissants, and sweet rolls. We did ask Geoffrey, who is from the Phillipines and speaks perfect English, and he gave us ham and cheese each morning to add to our croissant. Geoffrey made us a reservation to see David and that was easy, though you can do it yourself in English. He's a good resource on seeing the city as far as how to get from the hotel to just about anywhere and is very helpful with any questions we had. Overall a nice place, reasonable at 135 euros if you ask for the Rick Steve's rate.

Stayed at Dream Domus based on TripAdvisor reviews. The reviews are accurate as to location, room size, decor, amenities, and cleanliness. All excellent. If you want a B&B in a big city, I imagine Dream Domus is a good choice. However, when we return to Florence we will more likely choose a conventional hotel. Firstly, after a day of walking the city, climbing the three flights was often an uninviting task. Second, we could have used a place to relax or have a drink outside the room. In Dream Domus, we essentially went to the room and left the room. We would have liked more facilities. (But maybe that was OUR problem with a B&B in concept, and not Dream Domus in particular.) The breakfast was so-so. We would have been better off with no breakfast so we could enjoy the offerings of the neighborhood cafes. Geoffrey did everything, and though he was quite respectful, he was disconcertingly reserved, you know, one or few word responses all followed by at least one "Sir." Certainly not engaging or embracing. Lighten up, guy! Make your guests seem a bit welcomed. Anyway, for a B&B, Dream Domus is quite nice. For a Florence experience, you might consider something more conventional. (By the way, try eating at Ringo's -- sit at the counter, and Cingale Bianco -- both on Jacoby Street near the Ponte Vecchio.)

We stayed at the Florence Dream Domus in May 2004 and everybody loved the place. Beautifully decorated and almost brand new, just like in the pictures. Breakfast was great and the setting was very elegance. The location was perfect, quite and only couple of minutes walk to the Duomo. Just be prepare to call them if you show up during off hours and there are nobody there to let you in :) Also, inquire about the bathrooms with standup showers if you are not use to taking showers sitting down in the tub :)

Hard to find as the sign is so small. Location is ok - 10 minutes from station, 5 from duomo. 2 floors up with no lift. Our room was huge with 3 beds and a balcony. Bathroom is cozy and it was hard getting in and out of the small shower because the toilet is in the way. Neither of the hair dryers worked. Mozzies came in and bit us all night long. Tv is small with no English speaking channels. Wardrobe was ginormous!!! Breakfast buffet was pretty bland but the cooked option of eggs, bacon and sausage was nice. The staff were very sweet and helpful. The toiletries provided were cheap and the towels smelled of strong disinfectant. The bunch of keys for the room are huge and heavy to carry around all day. The pillows and blankets were terrible and we didn't sleep well. It was very over priced and i would not recommend staying here. I think a hotel would be better for the same price.

My first 'experience' when I walked in was of tantalizing aromas & an impressively decorated welcome/breakfast area. Then came the room...they are huge & very beautifully decorated. The breakfasts were incredible & we couldn't have found a better place to stay. It is so close to everything, but on a quiet street-the perfect location. Perla, the owner & her husband Luigi, have made the perfect getaway for anyone & I will definitely go back as soon as I can! In fact, we liked it so much on this trip that we extended our stay in Italy to come back to Florence Dream again!

It's ideal to stay at this centrally located B & B about a 10 minute walk from Santa Maria Novella train station and 5 or less to most of the enchanting art and history that is Florence: the Duomo, Pitti Palace, Palazzo Medici Riccardi, the Academy, Piazza della Signoria, and the arched bridge Ponte Vecchio.
Schedule arrival when manager Lorenzo or a staff member is there to meet you at the front door. Walk slowly or you may miss the discreet Florence Dream sign at Via de Ginori 26. Someone will gladly help carry your luggage up the few flights of stairs to the small reception area. Ask Lorenzo for local restaurant recommendations. If you are vegetarian, there is an amazing spot in walking distance..
The 5 charming old en-suites are small yet planned to maximize space and finished with antique decor. One of the nicest is the Caterina. Wifi is limited with some interruptions. Rates are surprisingly reasonable and include a delicious full breakfast with eggs on request. Check staff hours before leaving for the day in the event you have a service request when no one is there.
Enjoy the convenience of this quaint city location!

"We chose the triple room even though there was two of us - it gave us extra space and was great! We had a room right outside of the check-in desk and it was not noisy and was tucked away so it was still private."
