Lady Florence was the most convenient place to be in Florence. The location was amazingly close to the Lady Florence Cathedral and the Baptistry (The Door to Paradise). Not too frugal, but you will get everything you need. Superb cleanliness and service. Book in advance for the weekends though.

Lady Florence was very convenient for us. It was nice to have a two room suite for us and our two boys. Beds were very comfortable. Room very clean. Our view was of the Duomo - beautiful. The breakfasts were basic, but good. We had our own bathroom, which was perfectly appointed. For a B & B it is a...

B&B Lady Florence was a great surprise for our family. We travel light and enjoy hotels that are clean, friendly, small, simply decorated, and 2-3 star in price. Having two rooms was a nice surprise (4 twins) and the decor was just our style (sort of IKEA-like and tastefully done). High ceilings, updated bathroom, mini-fridge for our grocery store purchases,...

Our stay here for 2 nights was lovely. Our room was modern, bright, clean and really comfortable. We spent most of our time sightseeing in Florence so didn't spend much time at the B&B but it was exactly what we needed. We also had the private external bathroom which was large and very clean. The breakfast was nice, although the...

Just back from 5 days here. Location ideal for the Academy (3 minutes' gentle stroll), cathedral (10 mins), train station (15 minutes) and Piazza San Marco (3 minutes). Room overlooked a MacDonalds on the other side of the road, but we weren't aware of any cooking smells etc! Had to close windows at night because of street noise, but efficient...

Located in the city center this B&B offer rather good accommodation. Includes breakfast. The room is clean, has everything what's needed, but also nothing special. The stuff is nice and helpful, offered us map and suggested some places to visit and where to have a meal.

The Lady Florence is a very small (4-room) hotel built into the top (4th) floor of a residential building. We booked what appeared from the listing to be a rather large triple room, and were not disappointed, as it was spacious & comfortable with windows overlooking a small street; the beds were arranged at opposite sides with plenty of room...

B&B Lady Florence is in walking distance of the trainstation. The very friendly owner, the great location, the good beds, the spacious rooms make it an excellent choice for staying a couple of days in beautifull Florence! Except for the door to enter the B&B. It's like opening a vault without a key, good luck! ;-)

Staying in San Marco

Neighbourhood Profile
San Marco
The pleasant atmosphere of this residential area, a stone’s throw away from the Duomo of Florence, surprises everyone. A continuous flow of backpacking students provides the tranquil surroundings for the elderly residents who sit in Piazza San Marco to read the daily newspaper. Home to several universities, including the Academy of Fine Arts, San Marco is one of the most vibrant cultural centers in the city. A bridge connecting the modern cultural activity of Florence to its classic art, represented by the everlasting magnificence of the original David, resonates as a symbol of Florence and of Italy as a whole. Get lost in a Neoclassic world, a journey back in time through historic buildings like Spedale degli Innocenti (Hospital of the Innocents), San Marco church, Basilica della Santissima Annunziata, and natural jewels like the Botanical Gardens.
