Loved this hotel in the best area of Florence. Comfortable large rooms. Good breakfast. Fabulous old 16th Palace. The plumbing is a bit antiquated. There are a lot of stone steps up to the Hotel. In fact 82 up to our room. Keeps you fit but be aware of them if you have mobility problems. Where you are using shared...

We would stay here again. The people are friendly and the breakfast is nice. High ceilings and surrounded by art. The room was spacious and clean, included breakfast, and I felt absolutely safe there. If I ever go back to Florence, I will, without a doubt, stay there again!

When choosing a hotel in Florence, I just happened upon Hotel Bavaria and I’m incredibly glad that I did. It had everything I was looking for and more. The location kept us close to all of the sights, the room was spacious and clean, the included breakfast has a nice selection, and I felt absolutely safe there. If I ever...

The best thing about this hotel is certainly the location! For this, we would stay here again. The people are friendly and the breakfast is fine. Internet is a bit slow and it doesn't work in rooms - but it's worth it for being in such a great place.

High ceilings and surrounded by art - you will feel like a royal in this hotel. Also great location. Breakfast was standard, but there's plenty of places around to have some italian specialities. Comfortable beds.

Great location and the wonderful room for four with private bathroom. Friendly staff, decent breakfast. Love this hotel - just a few minutes walk to the Duomo. Clean, our windows were to the courtyard - so no noise, very quite night. Secure entrance to the courtyard. The hotel is on the 3rd floor with no elevator - was not a...

Excellent location is one of the traditional streets full of charm. The hotel is located in a courtyard on the first floor accessed via an exterior stone stair case. We were delighted with the accommodation and the proprietor was very welcoming. Delightful staff, good breakfast and everywhere was clean. We would strongly recommend it to anyone visiting Florence

We stayed in a triple room for two nights in January. It was very nice, the room was very large, and the staff was all very kind. They spoke very good English, and the shared bathroom was always clean. There wasn't excessive noise at night, but that didn't stop us from having fun! The vibes were chill and we enjoyed...

The location is the real winner here. It is about as central as you can get. Right around the corner from the main piazzas and close to all the shops and restaurants you need. The interior is also lovely, very cozy and clean with the charm of old Florence. As soon as you walk through the main gate, you enter...

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
