This is the hotel with the best feeling i've ever had the moment i walked into the room and had the best sleep too. Great views of the Arno river and fantastic breakfast too with a super friendly and accomodating team. Highly recommended if you want a good place in Florence

We stayed at Lungarno Vepucci 50 with our 3 year old daughter. We had an excellent stay in this beautiful hotel- with only a short walk from major attractions, it is well located for families travelling with a stroller. The hotel has a good selection for breakfast, with a lovely terrace to watch the sunset over Florence. Additionally rooms are...

Great Hotel, close to all the major attractions, situated right in front of a river and is beside the American consulate. The best part of the hotel was without a doubt the reception staff, absolutely phenomenal and helpful, helped us with everything.

Such a nice hotel! I can't understand why there is no rating on the triadvisor. A little bit out of the center but near the park and very quiet. The design and the stuff atd great. The view from the roof and the fresco in the breakfast room are amazing! Spotlessly clean. Just a perfect place and I would love...

Staying in Santa Maria Novella

Neighbourhood Profile
Santa Maria Novella
Santa Maria Novella train station welcomes the majority of the people arriving in Florence, which might explain the hectic pace. Commuters and tourists come across the constant hustle and bustle of the station before exiting, taking a few steps and stopping amazed in Piazza di Santa Maria Novella. It is impossible not to admire the the square, housing one of the most charming basilicas in Florence. The area has plenty of local spots to taste Tuscan specialties, but don’t stop in the main streets alone; the narrower side streets always ensure satisfaction. The huge Parco Delle Cascine provides a solution to the need for a green area as well as a historic welcome in the form of a bronze statue of King Vittorio Emanuele II riding a horse.
