This has got to be one of the best kept secrets of Florence. The B&B is situated about 500m from the Pitti Palace down a quiet street. It takes about 5 minutes stroll to get to the Ponte Vecchio and then you're in the middle of Florence with all its attractions. We stayed in the Leonardo room which was cool...

Before arrival, got a great welcome by e mail with specific directions. On arrival, found a warm reception in a quaint building in a typical residential area. Great room, air conditioning, fridge, safe deposit, coffee facilities and a modern en suite shower room wih fantastic hair drier. Lovely to retreat to after the bustle of tourist centre, we felt really...

We stayed at the Home in Florence Bed and Breakfast in room 5, Giotto, for 5 nights in June. The room was comfortable with a large bed, consisting of two twins made up together. There was room on either side of the bed for a night table. In the room there was a small desk, a wardrobe, a mini fridge...

We were lucky enough to stay 5 nights at Home in Florence during the month of May 2007. Paolo Gori was there from the start, helping us with our luggage and offering a bottle of wine. The room was very clean and spacious. Free internet outside our room and a phone down the hall for our needs. The breakfasts at...

This was our FAVORITE stay during our tour of Italy in May. Florence was my FAVORITE city, which likely has a lot to do with this bed & breakfast. The room was fantastic, the host was gracious, and the free internet was great! The location was perfect, as we prefer staying in residential areas rather than touristy areas. However, it...

A charming bed and breakfast on an upper floor of an old building near to the Boboli gardens (which are well worth a visit). The staff were very friendly, and the room contained both fridge and safe deposit box at no extra cost. There was air conditioning but it did not seem to be on while we were there in...

This B&B was a great find - we really enjoyed our stay here. It was excellent value and in a good location (close to the Ponte Vecchio). We got a taxi to the hotel from the train station with our bags, but after that we walked everywhere from the hotel. Our room was very big, beautifully decorated and extremely clean....

We stayed in the Santa Maria property on April 2007 for three nights on an excellent spacious and clean room. Clean private bathroom which included a washing machine that we did not use it but was available. Including in the price was the use of internet that was very useful to stay in contact with family and friends as well...

Great place and fantastic value! We booked through Venere.com because we were unable to locate the property's website (the name is too generic!). I found their site afterwards -- [--]. Rates look slightly cheaper on their site, and if you reserve through the property directly, ask for a small discount for paying cash. The location was nice, ~10 minute walk...

This place was perfect! Simple but charming, comfortable, and clean. Best of all, it is away from the overwhelming touristy districts, however, in walking distance of all the major sites. One can really feel that he/she is staying in cute apartment of a local instead of a commercial business. The cafe around the corner served the typical Italian breakfast- pastry...
