I stayed in this place 2 nights with my wife. We arrived in the place quite late (9:30 PM) but they were waiting for us. Ricardo (the owner) was in the hospital with is mother but he took care that someone would be there waiting for us. The staff was really helpful and nice. The room was quite big and...

We stayed at Locanda dei Ciompi for 4 days while on a trip through Greece and Italy. Upon arrival, my friends and I were a bit wary of the place. We got there and no one answered the ring so we had to call the phone number on the door. That's when we were greeted by Filippo a few minutes...

The hotel is located next to a quiet road where cars are not allowed so rooms were quiet. Location is perfect; not too far from the Duomo but away from big tourist groups. The area seemed to us very safe. Rooms were absolutely adorable and clean. Breakfast was small (but adequate) and tasty, and served directly to rooms. Very friendly...

We stayed in room number 2 at Locanda de Compi for five nights in June 2010 and found it to be a very good experience. After decoding the Florentine street numbering system Fillipo helped us to carry our bags up the the first floor and welcomed us in a very friendly manner including giving us an orientation of the area...

My wife and I spent three nights at this pension and were very happy with every aspect (as mentioned numerous times in other posts): great location just east of tourist areas; very nice spotless room and bath; excellent breakfast delivered in room each morning; superb manager, Filippo, recommended two excellent non-tourist restaurants, was accommodating in every way; close enough for...

stayed for 4 nights - very peaceful hotel (we were at the back of the building though) on a busy street in the old centre - location was really excellent - a few minutes walk from the main sites. Rooms are nice and large and the bathroom too. The Wifi is free and the hotel owner helpful and friendly; the...

We stayed three nights at Locanda de' Ciompi in May 2010, and found it to be comfortable, friendly, and perfect for our needs. The bathroom was spotlessly clean, the bedroom was of adequate size (not huge, but this is a B&B in a very old European city), and there were (openable) double windows to keep out any street noise. Complimentary...

I have just returned from 4 nights in Florence and stayed at this fantastic guest house...the experience was pretty much perfection. As soon as we arrived the manager helped us out by giving us a map and advising of the best places to visit, and giving a couple of recommendations for dinner. I must say, his recommendations were spot on,...

We stayed here for 6 nights and the experience was close to perfection. The B&B is excellent, with a central position, cozy rooms and good services. We had the “Speziali “room, large and with a nice wooden ceiling. It lacked the view, but was vey quiet. I have to underline that everything was spotless, from the room itself, to the...

We stayed in this guest house overnight when husband was running the Florence Marathon, and we chose it mostly for its location - it's a fairly short 5/10 minute walk back to the hotel from the finishing area (Santa Croce), in case that's of interest to anyone reading. A bit further to the starting area, along the banks of the...
