True Italians who really care about their business and their city. We will only stay here on our future trips to Florence because we feel like one of the family. Anna Maria, her husband, and her daughter Katti are the real deal and they are...More
We really enjoyed our stay here at Katti House in Florence. We stated for a few nights and it was very nice, clean, and comfortable. Maria was so nice and helpful as well. And the restaurant was delicious as well. We got a steak and...More
I wish there was a rating between "average" and "very good," since average sounds like a negative, but this B&B was a good value, and an easy walk to the Duomo. As others have said, the owner speaks very little English, which made it a...More
My two daughters and I reserved one night at Katti House. Got a good rate with cash payment as a Rick Steves recommendation. Good communication via email. We were disappointed to learn that we had to stay at the nearby B&B not Katti House. The...More
When we travel, my wife and I look for a clean, comfortable room, central to the old city, with local flavor. The Katti House was all of that. Not a 4 star hotel, but not 4 star pricing either. Owner spoke little English, but she...More

San Lorenzo’s lively merchants shout out from behind stalls with an array of products in one of the most traditional neighborhoods in Florence. Different ethnic groups join together in the large outdoor market of San Lorenzo and in the Central Market, a vast multi-floored building. Visitors are bound to fall in love with this area and in particular, with its variety of food, especially those focusing on
Florentine dishes as well as international selections. Nobody leaves San Lorenzo without a shopping bag in hand or with an empty stomach.

Yes, there are parking garages all over nearby for a fee. Although, driving in Florence is a HUGE challenge. Not recommended. Beware, there are places you are NOT supposed to drive and will get a ticket in the mail after the fact. It's very easy to get caught up in these areas because streets are all 1 way. We rented a car for a couple days and we couldn't wait to get rid of it. Nothing but a big liability.
