We spend two days in La Locandiera! Everything was perfect! Location, price, breakfast and lovely Silvia! La Locandiera located very near to Train station and 10 min walking to Duomo! Breakfast and time for breakfast we order previous day. Place is very clean and we...More
This little jewel of a B and B is a 5 minute walk from the main train station which was ideal for us as we came from Pisa Airport by train. It is also a (flat) 10 minute walk to the very heart of Florence...More
This is a fantastic find. And I can't praise it too highly.
First, it's within 15 minutes' walk of the Duomo (and frankly if 15 minutes' walk doesn't count as an easy distance in your book you aren't going to enjoy visiting Italy's historic cities...More
Bit of a sketchy neighborhood, but quick walk to train station and Centro. Wonderful and accommodating attendant. Just a basic place to lay your head, have a solid breakfast, and move along. Clean, ok overall.
La Locandiera has lots going for it: location, amenities...SILVIA! It is just a couple of blocks from the S.M. Novella train station, which turned out to be more convenient than we expected. If you're booking tours in Florence, or out into the Tuscan Hills, many...More
Santa Maria Novella train station welcomes the majority of the people arriving in Florence, which might explain the hectic pace. Commuters and tourists come across the constant hustle and bustle of the station before exiting, taking a few steps and stopping amazed in Piazza di Santa Maria Novella. It is impossible not to admire the the square, housing one of the most charming basilicas in Florence. The
area has plenty of local spots to taste Tuscan specialties, but don’t stop in the main streets alone; the narrower side streets always ensure satisfaction. The huge Parco Delle Cascine provides a solution to the need for a green area as well as a historic welcome in the form of a bronze statue of King Vittorio Emanuele II riding a horse.

not really but it depends at what time you need it, in specific case I can make it at 7:30 not earlier or I can prepare a box breakfast (i usually do that in this case) the evening before as in the room there is an electric kettle and coffees and teas that you can make by yourself.
Anyway we can arrange this together once you are here, if you reserve with me.

"Just ask for a quiet room if being on a main road might be a problem for you. This worked very well for us..."
