Our three day stay at the Borghese Palace Hotel was the best part of our trip to Florence. The staff helped us negotiate the maze of tourist problems inherent in Florence plus the hotel was physically centered in the geographical midst of all the important museums and tourist attractions. I can't imagine a better place to stay while in Florence....

My husband and I spent two nights at the Borghese Palace Art Hotel and were beyond pleased with all details of the hotel. I booked the hotel based on other reviews and because we prefer more modern, boutique hotels, which can be difficult to find in Florence. The hotel is in an ideal location of the city - a five...

It was a nice surprise to be in such a beautiful hotel. It is a modern hotel in a old palace, decorated with a good taste. It is located in the hearth of Florence, in a calm and very charming street. The personnel is very kind (Mrs . Annalisa is a very nice girl, very helpful and always with a...

Borghese Palace is a wonderful combination of hip, friendly, affordable and central. I can't recall the exact price, but I remember it being reasonable for what we received. The staff, especially the front desk personnel, are extremely friendly, flexible and knowledgeable. The gym is also a great plus at this price. it was clean and under used. Though the steam...

I would add my thoughts to the person who stayed here recently and wrote that this is "not an ideal place to stay." Napoleon's sister lived here after she married into the Italian family of Borghese, but I hope her room was not so small! The room was "economical" in size (for want of a better word) and the bathroom...

We booked this hotel as part of our honeymoon and of all the places we stayed in Italy (there were 5 hotels ) this was the most disappointing. We chose the hotel purely based on the great reviews on Trip Advisor . When we arrived we were told that there was no parking at the hotel but there was a...

Very central within Florence, so everything within easy walking distance. We spent 3 nights here for our Wedding Anniversary, Hotel doesn't have a restaurant but there are so many good places to eat within minutes walk, it makes no difference. Incredibly safe car park next to the hotel as we were on a driving tour. Rooms well appointed and clean...

There were 16 ladies touring Tuscany. Florence was our last stop and we spent 3 nights at the Borghese Palace Art Hotel. It was easily within walking distance of everything. The hotel was clean, there was a great selection at the breakfast buffet and the rooms (beds) were very comfortable. There is a "tiny" rooftop patio. All of us were...

the borghese palace art hotel in florence is about a 5 minute walk from the dome and other touristy areas in florence. in that sense, it is tucked away on a quiet street with some fabulous restaurants around ( a great mexican 3/4 doors down and an italian right opposite ) which is very useful when it suddenly decides to...

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
