You could not ask for a more central location in Florence! Alessandro and Marco are delightful and attentive. The facility is charming and feels quite homey. It's a great value too. I highly recommend Il Salotto di Firenze!

Had four keys to get to second floor room. Elevator available. Had nice breakfast area with many travel/leisure books. This is a charming and well decorated small B&B. The location of the B&B is just perfect between Duomo and Piazza della Republica. Check-in was made easy by the recommendations from Marco, even if he was not there. Room is very clean, although the bed linnen some a few marks. The wifi access is fast. The room we had was...

My daughter and I love to travel to Italy. In March we made our 5th trip in 7 years. While in Florence we stayed at the Il Salotto for the second time having stayed in June 2013 also. We chose this B&B for the second time because of the excellent location right by the duomo and because the price was...

Great room, outstanding service and perfect location! We were able to walk everywhere and really enjoyed our stay here. My only complaint would be that breakfast was just the worst one we had during our trip - the pastries (both salty and sweet) tasted old and stale and the cappuccino my husband got was cold. Other than that, it was...

This bed and breakfast is perfectly located across the street from the Duomo. The people are absolutely wonderful to work with and are very accommodating. They looked after us, arranged a perfect dinner reservation, and watched our luggage the last day before getting in the train. We felt safe and well cared for and the room was perfect! We stayed...

What an excellent location - right by the Duomo square. Our room had a balcony that we could look out on to the street and into the square. The room was beautiful and clean. The owners were helpful, kind and friendly. Absolutely recommend staying here.

We stayed at Il Salotto di Firenze in May 2014 and were very, very happy with everything. In a great location right on corner of the main Duomo square and within walking distance of all the main attractions and museums, etc. Its a really good base to explore Florence and surrounding region. Plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby and shops...

These two owners of this B &B go out of their way (making espresso, coming in early to set out breakfast for our early departure, helping with our luggage, calling the airlines to ask about a strike for us.... etc etc) and always with a smile. The rooms are spacious, bathroom clean and modern. It might be time to replace...

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
