We stayed for 2 nights in the hotel. The only good points of the hotel were the location and the breakfast.
When we arrived I was stuck in the old fashioned elevator that was totally rubbish. At the reception was an Indian lady that was...More
We stayed there for two nights.
When we got there, we were welcomed by a lady who did not speak English, who was working at the reception.
The room was very ugly and small and we can hear everything in the reception. Every time we...More
The staff at this B&B are very friendly, and respond quickly to emails. Despite having arranged an arrival time, there was no response from my door bell ring. Eventually, after a half hour on the narrow sidewalk in front, I went into the hotel next...More
Cozy and comfortable this restaurant is convenient to the Cathedral, and the food was superb! Do try the salmon dish - it's scrumptious, especially with a good white wine! Small enough to guarantee excellent service. Perfect for a romantic dinner for two.
This b&b is in a very old building near downtown.
The room was very big! The bed was too soft, not very comfortable.
Breakfast was good.
The shower was the best, it was interesting to see such a modern shower in a 700yo building.

The pleasant atmosphere of this residential area, a stone’s throw away from the Duomo of Florence, surprises everyone. A continuous flow of backpacking students provides the tranquil surroundings for the elderly residents who sit in Piazza San Marco to read the daily newspaper. Home to several universities, including the Academy of Fine Arts, San Marco is one of the most vibrant cultural centers in the city. A
bridge connecting the modern cultural activity of Florence to its classic art, represented by the everlasting magnificence of the original David, resonates as a symbol of Florence and of Italy as a whole. Get lost in a Neoclassic world, a journey back in time through historic buildings like Spedale degli Innocenti (Hospital of the Innocents), San Marco church, Basilica della Santissima Annunziata, and natural jewels like the Botanical Gardens.
Hi, we didn't have a problem but we were there later in the year. I seem to remember air conditioning and the windows are definitely double glazed but mozzies can be a problem wherever you go in the summer.
