I had a very god experience at Dante e Beatrice's.
First: remember, it's a B&B. And I spent 2 nights.

The room is bigger than usual of Italy, which means you have space to put your stuff and move around easily. The person who runs the place (Ms Mina) is nice and helpful. The internet works really well. The rooms are on the second floor...More
Most importantly, we received a wonderful welcome as soon as we arrived: A map, & personal suggestions on what to see; thorough, individualized training on the use of the excellent security system. We were extremely delighted with the superb breakfast, with a huge selection of...More

The pleasant atmosphere of this residential area, a stone’s throw away from the Duomo of Florence, surprises everyone. A continuous flow of backpacking students provides the tranquil surroundings for the elderly residents who sit in Piazza San Marco to read the daily newspaper. Home to several universities, including the Academy of Fine Arts, San Marco is one of the most vibrant cultural centers in the city. A
bridge connecting the modern cultural activity of Florence to its classic art, represented by the everlasting magnificence of the original David, resonates as a symbol of Florence and of Italy as a whole. Get lost in a Neoclassic world, a journey back in time through historic buildings like Spedale degli Innocenti (Hospital of the Innocents), San Marco church, Basilica della Santissima Annunziata, and natural jewels like the Botanical Gardens.
Hi, we didn't have a problem but we were there later in the year. I seem to remember air conditioning and the windows are definitely double glazed but mozzies can be a problem wherever you go in the summer.
