We spent two wonderful days at this property on out recent honeymoon, what an amazing place. This hotel was made out of an old family Palazzo or Palace, however it looks like it was build to be a luxury hotel. The rooms design. decor and functionality were just great, the bathrooms fit for a King and his Queen. The common...

Without a question, the best hotel experience I have ever had. This is truly a "splurge-worthy" hotel. As mentioned in other reviews, the service will far exceed your expectations (short example - while dining, I was always brought a small foot rest in order to be able to place my newspaper/book/sunglasses- heaven forbid I should be inconvenienced by having to...

The level of service at the four seasons is unparalleled! We had a wonderful trip , the staff was amazing. especially The Chef , Vito , who took care of all our special needs!! Located a little off the City center, its the perfect place to relax after a day of touring the museums and crowded streets of Florence..

I felt inspired in this amazing hotel and felt like I should start painting or sculpting. Beautiful interior courts, with old stones, I stayed in a room facing the park and the open window during the day was delightful. Great bathroom with a mix of old and modern. The lobby itself is a masterpiece. We had lunch and dinner in...

After backpacking through Italy for a month my wife and I decided to spend our last two days at the Four Seasons in Florence. We were amazed by the beautiful gardens, wonderful artwork and overall peacefulness of the property. It has the largest private garden in Florence that shields you from the busy pace that is Italy. I knew what...

I love the Four Seasons Florence. What a wonderful hotel and staff. The hotel is situated pretty close to the heart of the city. Indeed, from its large park, there are great views of the Duomo – which is about a 10-minute walk from the entrance. The best part is that you feel as if you are staying in a...

What a pleasant surprise when you enter the front door (either front door) and are suddenly in the restored space so elegantly decorated. The gracious and friendly staff makes you feel like a guest in a private home. The rooms are spacious, beautifully furnished with wonderful bathroom and closet space. We stayed 6 days and were very comfortable. The park...

We had a very nice room and enjoyed the comfort of the four seasons while in Florence. The concierge was very helpful and accommodating. The shuttle to and from city center was very useful. The bar in the hotel was very enjoyable! Will say here again when we return to Florence.

Staying in San Marco

Neighbourhood Profile
San Marco
The pleasant atmosphere of this residential area, a stone’s throw away from the Duomo of Florence, surprises everyone. A continuous flow of backpacking students provides the tranquil surroundings for the elderly residents who sit in Piazza San Marco to read the daily newspaper. Home to several universities, including the Academy of Fine Arts, San Marco is one of the most vibrant cultural centers in the city. A bridge connecting the modern cultural activity of Florence to its classic art, represented by the everlasting magnificence of the original David, resonates as a symbol of Florence and of Italy as a whole. Get lost in a Neoclassic world, a journey back in time through historic buildings like Spedale degli Innocenti (Hospital of the Innocents), San Marco church, Basilica della Santissima Annunziata, and natural jewels like the Botanical Gardens.
