We keep going back to this property simply because it is the best. We also keep not wanting to leave when we are there. Florence is a must go destination but I would say 4S Florence is a must go destination in itself. The location is just stunning. Set in acres and acres of beautifully maintained gardens (where in the...

The Four Seasons Firenze is indeed a fabulous, outstanding property !!!! What a "beautifully decorated" space, both in the public rooms and the guest rooms. And the garden is just lovely. And kudos to a most friendly and efficient staff. The Concierge desk could not have been more accommodating....advice on restaurants, securing an outstanding guide, just seeing to our every...

We are a family of five with two connecting rooms and a third room nearby for two teenage girls. This is a great hotel even by Four Season standards. From the moment you walk into the hotel you feel transported to a Florentine Villa where you and your family are the center of attention by the entire staff. The hotel...

We made a mistake by only staying two nights at this beautiful property. We stayed at a ton of nice places on our honeymoon (over 17 days in Italy) and by far the best service we received was here at the Four Seasons. We were given a double upgrade, in part because of honeymoon, and in part because of our...

I had been told this hotel was special,so I decided to stay 3 night on a driving tour of italy. At the last moment, I decided to arrive early and on the day booked an additional night (albiet in a different room category). All in all, I could not agree more with the other reviewers. This hotel is special. And...

Quite simply, this is Firenze (Florence) and 5 star Lux Hotels are ungodly expensive and this hotel lives up to the cost expectations. What I always ask for if the price is astronomical is service and facilities which are equivalent! This hotel has surpassed our expectations in every way. The grounds are magnificent (I don't ever remember a City hotel...

The Four Seasons in Florence is an oasis! The grounds and hotel are breath taking (it may even compare to David) the staff is over the top! Our suite was perfect, a ground floor with a patio in the 2nd building (room 601) good beds, great bathroom, comfy sitting area. The grounds boost a spa, swimming pool, hair salon, and...

We went there for a week-end to discover Florence, and this hotel appears such a wonderful place to stay that you really hesitate to go out to the town! A breathtaking palace-like interior, really spacious and light room with great bed, best service possible, delicious food, and what is really unforgettable is their garden with a small pool ancient style....

Stayed a week in this fine hotel with a resort feeling. The staff is highly trained and professional with a genuine concern that you are enjoying your stay with them. We had the concierge team book all of our tickets for galleries, our driver to the Chianti region, transportation from airport, etc. which made it so easy for us to...

Staying in San Marco

Neighbourhood Profile
San Marco
The pleasant atmosphere of this residential area, a stone’s throw away from the Duomo of Florence, surprises everyone. A continuous flow of backpacking students provides the tranquil surroundings for the elderly residents who sit in Piazza San Marco to read the daily newspaper. Home to several universities, including the Academy of Fine Arts, San Marco is one of the most vibrant cultural centers in the city. A bridge connecting the modern cultural activity of Florence to its classic art, represented by the everlasting magnificence of the original David, resonates as a symbol of Florence and of Italy as a whole. Get lost in a Neoclassic world, a journey back in time through historic buildings like Spedale degli Innocenti (Hospital of the Innocents), San Marco church, Basilica della Santissima Annunziata, and natural jewels like the Botanical Gardens.
