Location is perfect for seeing the city. The rooms in the Convento provide a spectacular view of the gardens. Incredibly helpful concierge & desk staff. Beautiful dining room at Il Palagio provides the perfect environment for a romantic dinner.

Four Seasons Firenze combines the impeccable standards of the Four Seasons brand with an historical hotel in a beautiful Florentine setting. Beautiful high ornate ceilings, a wonderful garden to stroll through and excellent staff always willing to go the extra mile. My wife celebrated her birthday during our stay and at the end of breakfast out of the blue came...

Another late review from a past trip. The hotel grounds are very special. There is a wonderful pool, fitness are, and outdoor dining. Our room was very spacious and the staff was very accommodating. Somewhat off the beaten path so away from the noise and crowds. Cannot recommend more highly, and hope to return.

We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights during Christmas. What a wonderful vacation! We couldn't ask for more. Although located a bit off , and about 10 min walk from the center, the most friendly and welcoming staff, doing their best to make your stay as comfortable and pampering as can be. Amazing grounds and facilities, full of charm...

This hotel is absolutely beautiful!! The emormous garden, the lobby/bar area, the restaurants/food, the room.... top notch!! I must say that many times I say to myself... "Would I feel comfortable sitting on the floor reading a book or watching TV?" Sounds silly but that really makes me love a room to be that comfortable with the cleanliness!! An absolute...

What can I say? It is the perfect hotel in Firenze. It captures the culture, the atmosphere, the people, the food of the city in a nicely combined Florentine yet Four-Seasons way. The location, some people may think it is a bit far from the center, but is perfect for me, within walking distance (15mins) to the Piazza Republico while...

From the property to the service everything was implacable! The the building was beautiful and truly reflected the Renaissance feel of the city. The staff was very friendly and extremely helpful. It was very nice and festive during Christmas.

It is a beautiful hotel with excellent service. The lobby, the rooms, the garden is perfect. The only thing I would say is that it is a bit far from the main center of activity, but that is not necessarily bad, because you get to experience some peace and quiet. It has a resort-like experience.

We spent Christmas at the Four Seasons Firenze again this year. Each time we return we cannot imagine that the hotel grounds, service and food could possibly be better than our last visit. However, we are always wrong: the hotel is constantly raising their standards in all areas. The staff is passionate about making sure your visit is a magnificent...

Staying in San Marco

Neighbourhood Profile
San Marco
The pleasant atmosphere of this residential area, a stone’s throw away from the Duomo of Florence, surprises everyone. A continuous flow of backpacking students provides the tranquil surroundings for the elderly residents who sit in Piazza San Marco to read the daily newspaper. Home to several universities, including the Academy of Fine Arts, San Marco is one of the most vibrant cultural centers in the city. A bridge connecting the modern cultural activity of Florence to its classic art, represented by the everlasting magnificence of the original David, resonates as a symbol of Florence and of Italy as a whole. Get lost in a Neoclassic world, a journey back in time through historic buildings like Spedale degli Innocenti (Hospital of the Innocents), San Marco church, Basilica della Santissima Annunziata, and natural jewels like the Botanical Gardens.
