Booked balcony room via booking.com, our only reason to stay at this hotel. At check in we realised that there were no balcony room, no free wifi worked, no kettle in room, and we lost every kind of appetite for included breakfast, when coming back to hotel at 21.30 after dining outside, a big rat were running under some furnitures...

Close to everything. However don't stay in room 149 - it smells awful, must be full of mold. The owner/manager said that we had to choose from either stay in that room or he could offer another room with mosquitos instead :-))) or move. Anyway, night/evening staff where very friendly.

Stayed one night before leaving for Sardinia. The hotel is old and not worth it's money. Beds are too soft. Internet work okay but TV isn't at all up to date, The hotel had several suspicious guest who was hanging around in ashore area on the first floor. My girlfriend booked 1 night here for us. When we arrived the owners started shoeing us out of the door until we managed to explain we had a booking. The room was dirty and the staff unhelpful or just ignored us. The worst place we stayed in Italy by far. Livorno isn't worth a visit despite being called little Venice....

Our family LOVED this hotel. The location is fantastic- close to everything, near restaurants and clothing stores etc. The staff was super friendly and helpful, recommending the best restaurants and beaches. There was a complimentary breakfast in the morning with cappuccinos, cereals, meat/cheese, croissants etc so everyone got something they like. The room was big enough (bunk beds for kids,...

We needed a place to stay for one night before taking the ferry to Corsica, and I don't think we could have chosen better in a small, relatively untouristed town such as Livorno. First of all, the photos on the hotel's website do not do justice to just how good this place looks on the inside. It's very charming and...

We drove from Lake Como to Rome this trip and meandered a bit on our way down. Found Hotel Ariston on the web. Looked like a nice place right on the main square (Plaza Republica) and had a descent rate of 129 Euros for a quadruple room. As we were just crashing for the night, we didn't require a luxury...
