Davide and analisa are both excellent hosts, that run a peaceful b&b up on a hill nearby san gimignano. Rooms are large and quiet, breakfast buffet well filled and the cappucino very creamy indeed. Good location to discover tuscany with a romantic view (certainly in the evenings) on the towers and the lights of the city. However train connections to...

We stayed at Podere Montese in mid October. Unlike other previous travellers we experienced wonderful hospitality from Davide and Annalisa. The benefit was most likely that we visited in the low season of the year and that there were very few other visitors. The rooms were spotlessly clean and bathrooms were modern, the property has been renovated recently. The rooms...

We stayed here for 4 nights while traveling through Italy and thoroughly loved it. Davide and his wife were excellent hosts, The property was gorgeous and spotlessly clean. The closeness to San Gimignano was great, but it was far enough away to have peace and quiet. Highly recommend this palace and we will be going back.

Service: - pro: good and rich breakfast - cons: not really a traditional Italian hospitality, a bit cold and burned out hosts, wifi out of order Sleep Quality: - pro: good and comfortable beds - cons: noisy guests (drunk and young couple arriving at 3PM, noisy Italian lady starting loudly at 7PM), mosquitoes Cleanliness: - pro: room cleaned every day...

What can I say that hasn't already been said. When I started looking for accommodation in rural Tuscany with a pool, easy access by public transport and close enough to a nice town to walk to and fro, I couldn't find much. You'll have to drive, everyone said. Luckily, I stumbled across this place! Stayed here for 5 nights. Davide...

We stayed here for 5 nights. We were able to walk from Montese to San Gimignano which we did in 30 minutes along the strada Bianca at a brisk walking pace- perfect for us in early May without the heat of summer. The location was peaceful with a fantastic view of the town. Annalisa and Davide were friendly, helpful and...

Podere Montese is located in scenic, rolling hills outside of San Gimignano. The hosts, Davide and Annalisa, are very friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Our visit was in late March, so it was nice to see the area very green and in flower. Breakfast each morning was coffee, bread, cheeses, meats, juice, and cereals. Pretty good. If anything, I would say...

This hotel is so charming. The hotel is a shot distance outside of the town center of San Gimignano, but that's one of the things that makes it perfect. From the hotel pool and grounds, you will get a view of the town's beautiful and ancient skyline. Amazing! The rooms are beautiful and comfy with fantastic views of the rolling...

We recently spent a week staying at Podere Montese near San Gimignano. The property - a working vineyard and farm - is magnificent, with breathtaking Tuscan views. We stayed in the separate apartment, which was perfect for our young family (us and 20 month old twin boys). Podere Montese is well located to San Gimignano and other places of interest...

If you want to wake up with the sound of birds singing and a great view of La Toscana's wine fields and soft green hills, this is the place. There is also the option of choosing a Charmy B& B in town (San Giminiano), but as this was my first time in the area and after spending some time in...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
At Podere Montese you will feel like you are at home! Podere Montese is a typical Tuscan stone house converted into a lovely, family-run B&B where guests feel at home. At the Podere, the day starts with a rich breakfast served on the terrace overlooking the valley opposite San Gimignano, situated only 2 km away. Do not miss the cappucino prepared by Davide: many of our guests consider it a real legend!
