We had already been to Poggiacolle for an unforgettable holiday before, and it has been a good decision to chose this agriturismo once again as the one and only accomodation for our first trip to Italy since 2001. On the afternoon of our arrival the wheather casually turned from rain and storm to constant sunshine and cool wind, and we...

Be sure to ask for an apartment. We made reservations online, quick and easy. The rate was very reasonable, breakfast included which had the traditional bread, cheese, prosciutto, bread, yogurt, cappuccinos, etc. (very filling). Self- laundry available with washer and line dry. Pool, lounge chairs, short hikes through the vineyards and olive groves. Heaven... We stayed five nights in an...

I would highly recommend staying at Poggiacolle. Stefano was an absolutely wonderful host making sure we were setup and always being there when we needed to ask a question about directions or a great place for dinner. The agrituismo is really close to San Gimignano with a wonderful view of the towers being the infinity style pool. It was nice...

Proprietor very friendly and helpful with tons of information for your stay in and around San Gimignano. Lovely place for hiking, biking or just strolling along the path taking in the beauty of the area. Easy living here... would return in a heartbeat!

We stayed in "Lavanda" at Poggiacolle during the last week in July. We drove there with our dog and our daughter (21) flew out to Pisa to join us there for a few days. The apartment was spacious, comfortable and full of character. My husband was disappointed there was no air conditioning but the thick walls and the portable fans...

This is a rather late review but better late than never right? My husband and I were in Italy for a few days of business and then took off to the country for a few days. Poggiacolle was the most wonderful place to celebrate my birthday. The old farm house is beautifully restored with very modern amenities. The communial kitchen...

My wife and I stayed in the "Lavanda" apartment for a week with our two girls (9 & 11). It was a great, relaxing stay. The setting is charming, with vineyards and olive trees, etc. Our apartment was roomy. The rooms are kind of rustic; Don't come expecting 5-star luxury. But everything is clean. The location gives you good access...

We stayed for 2 weeks in Poggiacolle. After a very warm welcome of Stefano, the owner of this site, we immediately enjoyed the beautiful appartment (the ROSA-appartment) on the groundfloor; it is big enough for 2 persons and comfortable. We also enjoyed the quite environment, the lovely swimming pool with enough chairs and sunshades, .... Marcella, the housekeeper, was also...

The modifed farmhouse is on a hill surrounded by glorious Tuscan countryside, with olive groves, vineyards, fireflies, nightingales, golden orioles and bee-eaters. It overlooks the beautiful mediaeval town of San Gimignano and the hilltop vilage of Montauto. Everything is perfectly maintained by friendly family staff and their own winery produces excellent wine [as in Chianti and San Gimignano Vernacchio]. Rooms...
