Have just spent a wonderful week staying in the Maccalli apartment. Fantastic location with such an easy walk into fantastic San Gimignano along a foot path, so easy and safe with kids. The grounds are fantastic......lovely tables outside overlooking the lovely olive groves and vineyard. The pool was fantastic and well maintained. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, even...

Our upstairs apartment had a terrace with windows that overlooked both the vineyards and the nearby abbey. And the view out our bedroom window was of San Gimignano and its 7 towers. Picture-postcard stuff and a true gawkers paradise. What surprised us, though, was the pitiful little kitchen. This is in the heart of Tuscany, with a dining area that...

We stayed here in May so the weather was mixed but we had plenty of days around the pool. The pool isn't heated so it was cold and whilst I found it OK, my daughter did find it too cold so it's worth being aware the pool isn't heated if you visit outside the hot summer months. Having said that,...

We have stayed here a total of about a month between our three trips to Italia over the last few years. It is a great place to use as a home-base while you explore firenze, siena, or any of Tuscany. We had our son with us each time we stayed and there was always plenty for him to do: pool,...

We stayed in the larger Oliveta suite with three bedrooms on ground floor as we were traveling with elderly parents and our teenage son. Everyone loved this place. The rooms were large and comfortable, the outdoor space for dining was perfect with different tables for Breakfast or lunch or dinner depending on the amount of sun or Shade one wanted....

We stopped off here for 1 night en route from Rome to Venice. The location is superb with a fantastic view of San Gimignano town from our bedroom and lovely views of the surrounding vineyards. The apartment was clean and well furnished. Wifi reception in the apartment was quite poor but otherwise everything was great. We walked to and from...

We stayed here for a week in July. The location is superb: you can easily walk into San Gim to enjoy the inimitable medieval atmosphere and dine al fresco in spots like The Old City Wall with breathtaking views. The Fattoria itself is clean, sympathetically refurbished and has an amazing pool surrounded by lavender plants.. The rooms are spacious, quiet...

This is a charming little place with a pool and views to die for. San Gimginano is a nice hilltop town, if slightly ruined by tourists. The big bonus of this place is it is a fairly easy (15 min) walk in to town while most places of a similar standard are further away. Only gripes are the mosquitoes (can't...

We spent the first week in August in the ground floor self-catering apartment - L'oliveta. It was the first time we have had a holiday of this kind - having always camped previously. The apartment was well-equipped and furnished in a simple style. It was spotlessly clean. The weather was very hot when we were there - 38 degrees most...

About 1km from the medieval town of San Gimignano, surrounded by centuries-old olive trees and vineyards cultivated with Vernaccia, lays the Agritourism of the Abbey of Monte Oliveto, built in 1340 by the Olivetan monks. Abbazia Monte Oliveto's farm, today property of the the Zonin family, offers 7 comfortable apartments, harmoniously furnished in typical Tuscan country style, dominated by the legendary towers of San Gimignano and immersed in the surrounding greenery of the countryside. Each apartment has every possible comfort, including heating, satellite television and telephone. The apartments are all different so there is something to suit everyone, and some rooms have bathrooms which are specially equipped for the disabled.
