My family stayed here 1 night, 2 adults 2 kids. Location is a couple minutes from Il Campo and is thus excellent. Many restaurants nearby. Quiet street. The bldg. is 900 yrs old but very charming and renovated. Checkin is next door at a travel agency. This isn't a traditional hotel ... more like an apt building. Woman working there...

Great B&B in a perfect location just off the campo. If you stay in room #1 you get a balcony that looks over into the old mercato and the back of the Palazzo Pubblico and its beautiful tower. We had a triple room (room #1) and it was very spacious. Beds were comfortable and breakfast was ample. Staff was incredibly...

We stayed at the appartement of the al Mercato. Only 120 meters from Piazza del Campo in the heart of Siena. Great service, typical italian breakfast, clean rooms. They have a restaurant near the B&B which they work together with...was also good. We will come back!

We were lucky to get a last minute room here. It is not fancy, but the room was large and the bed was one of the most comfortable I slept in. (That is, it wasn't rock hard as so many are.) The receptionist is a real gem. Anisa is knowledgeable, cheerful, and helpful. (Elevates a 3* place to 4*). The...

Unique atmosphere, great location, very friendly and helpful staff! Our room had a small balcony with a great view of the clock tower and the old open market square. It was a bit cold though but the girl on the reception arranged heating system to be fixed very quickly.

We chose this place for its location and the wooden beams. Unfortunately we weren't given the room with the beams that we booked but the room was fine. The location is fantastic but really noisy. There was a party the first night in the restaurant below, then there were boys practising the horn and flags in the market place for...

Stayed for 2nd time at Al Mercato, lovely bijou B&B only 200m from the piazza di campo. Very enjoyable lovely air conditioned rooms, stylish without being over the top. Great prices, breakfast included. Lovely staff and restaraunt (which is around the back of hotel) is delightful with a 10% discount. Staff are so friendly. Only downside is getting to the...

My wife and I stayed at this wonderful B+B from the 4th until the 6th of June. We had visited this remarkable town for an afternoon 10 years ago on our first trip to Italy and really wanted to get more of a feel of Siena this time around. As mentioned in previous reviews it has a fantastic location just...

Staff excellent and helpful. Rooms clean and spacious with airconditioning, although ours was noisy, which we reported. View from rooms are of market square and back of town hall. Continental Breakfast was minimal In options with no fruit and cheap fruit juice but you could eat as much as you wanted! Location perfect and central. Cars have to be left...

I would love to give this place 5 stars based on the location and the property manager, Anisa. 2 blocks from the Piazza del Campo it is a glorious location. It's a very old building (either 11th century or 1100's, I can't remember which) according to Anisa. Every building in town seems to be hundreds of years old. So do...

Al Mercato B&B is located in the historic center of Siena, just a few steps from Piazza del Campo and the Duomo, in an ancient palace of the XIIth century. The couple Fabio and Carla have personally followed the recent restoration of the residence, executed with the total respect of the original structural features of the ancient palace. In our rooms, equipped with private bathroom with shower, you will also find the air conditioning and the free Wi-Fi. The windows open onto the picturesque Piazza del Mercato with a beautiful view of the Palazzo Pubblico and the Torre del Mangia. The Single economy room has the window on via Giovanni Duprè. Buffet breakfast is served every morning in the dedicated room and it is both italian and continental style. At our restaurant "La Finestra" in the Piazza del Mercato, you will find a typical Sienese menu at a special price. Possibility of half or full board. Free parking available 2 km from the B&B connected with piazza del Mercato with bus 54 (every 15 minutes), or the Parking IL CAMPO in via di Fontanella just 4 minutes walking form the B&B, 25euro for 24 hours. ... more   less
