Despite the title I've given this, I'll still rate this B&B above average because of the location, and the fact that the rooms are clean and serviceable and the host we dealt with was helpful. That said, the first 2 nights there we stayed in what I believe was called the "Large Green (or Garden?) Room," which was fine. Unfortunately,...

We stayed in the Fresco Room (the top floor one with the view). It's a slightly eccentric and no-frills establishment, but all the important things are right - lots of space, friendly owners (Maria Cristina and her daughter), central but very quiet, strong sense of the building's history and a lovely view out over the city's gardens and allotments and...

This place is ok but really nothing special. We were recommended to it by a friend and maybe if our expectations were lower we would not have been so disappointed. The room and bathroom were fine, if just there to sleep and your going to spend most of your time out and about. The breakfast was self-service and we felt...

We found Palazzo Bruchi in Rick Steve's guidebook, Italy 2007. What a wonderful surprise. My husband and I and our friend shared the Fresco Room. The view from the 10' windows was breathtaking. The beds were comfortable. The bedroom and bathroom were spacious and clean. Maria Christina made us feel at home. And it IS her family home. She lives...

I stayed in the single "Green" room some years ago and was so eager to recommend it to another solo traveller that I searched 1/2 hour on the web to find the place again. I felt safe and happy there with the lovely view, and it was easy to get to the Piazza and to restaurants in the evening, and...

We loved our room! This place was magical because it had so much charm. We still talk about our room and mention it to all our friends. When you first walk in, it is dark because the lday who owns it tries to save on electricity since nobody is ever downstairs. There is an elevator, which is small but a...

This accommodation is in a family palazzo which is in a 16th century building so this might explain some of the eccentricities - personally I quite liked the dim entrance area, it was nice to come into after a warm walk around town, the thick door cutting off the noise of the street straight away. I think some of the...

I would never stay here again. Wish I had known this ahead of time so I am writing a review for you. This place was recommended by a guide. We got there when it was turning dark. Very hard to find. When we left for dinner, it was so dark getting into the building (outer door, then courtyard) we felt...

Palazzo Bruchi is located right next to San Giorgio church. On our second night there, Friday night, they had church services. We were in bed. I was extremely tired and had ear plugs in, but could hear an echo of singing that sounded like angels. What a wonderful way to fall asleep. We stayed in the green room with no...
