Best hotel in Siena. It has the best view in Siena which can not be described in words. Beautiful hotel. Excellent location. Outstanding service. Best staff in the hotel business. Dennis and Maria Luisa were wonderful, always willing to help. The breakfast is delicious. It includes pastries, regional breads, cheeses and cold meats. Best breakfast in Italy. We stay in...

If you wish to spend a few days at an average hotel, with average amenities, in an Italian city which you would consider to be . . . well . . . just average - then DO NOT stay at the Campo Regio Relais. My wife and I were most fortunate to select this fantastic little boutique hotel for our...

this is a gem of a boutique, worth the slightly higher rates. staff, mostly ex-pats, very friendly and helpful, ended up running into them in the town in the evening. breakfast exceeded anything I've had in several trips to Europe, and the "honor system" bar in the evening are wonderful extras.

This little botique hotel has a warm and welcoming feel from the minute you arrive. Nestled in the heart of Amazing Siena, it feels like a happy family home away from home. Our room was gorgeous and to be expected small, with a lovely luxurious bathroom. Spotlessly clean, with high quality fittings, furnishings and linen. The breakfast room is a...

We stayed five nights in this lovely little hotel. Our view of the city from the balcony was gorgeous and we enjoyed some of Tuscany's finest wines there each evening, listening to the church bells and sounds of the city. The staff is terrific - extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast includes a large variety of foods and it is...

We travelled to Siena by bus from San Gimignano. A lovely journey through the hills of Tuscany. Arrival 4/5 - the hotel is hard to find and even when you do find the correct street, the hotel entrance is easy to miss. We arrived at 13.00, but could not check in - so we went for a stroll around the...

Even though we had a GPS, the hotel was not so easy to find and when we finally got to the hotel we found out we had probably been fined because we had crossed the restricted zone of the town. Dennis at the front desk told us not to worry though as he would solve the problem and cancel it....

We both loved this hotel. We stayed for 2 nights in October. We were lucky to be upgraded to a 1 bedroom, 2 story apartment with a fantastic view of Siena. The view had the "wow factor" and we were amazed by it each morning and evening. Our room was very quiet and breakfast was very good. They have a...

We just came back from one night on our tour of Tuscany and this was one of our favorite hotels. Yes, the view looks just like the picture..and yes, you will want to have breakfast there and a glass of spirits there and listen to the bells toll. The staff is wonderful. They helped us park our car after our...

As others have noted, the view from the breakfast balcony is worth the price in and of itself. The rooms are a bit small, but the location is hard to beat. The staff was extremely helpful, even making us a to-go bag for breakfast when we had to catch an early train.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Campo Regio Relais is a historic hotel in a building called Bastone del Pappagallo (16th Century), located in one of the ancient buildings within the historical centre of Siena. It can be found on Via della Sapienza, one of the main streets of medieval Siena, hosting both the University of Siena and the Academy of the Intronati. Its distinction is that it opens up to one of the most breathtaking views of the city in which the windows and the terraces reflect the ambient surroundings. The central position of the Relais allows guests to easily reach the most important monuments of the city; the main square, Piazza del Campo, the Duomo, and the museums that house the masterpieces of Siennese art. Campo Regio Relais is also perfect as a base from which you can discover the medieval towns and villages that surround Siena. ... more   less
