We stayed at Viole Country Hotel in connection with a week long bike trip around Umbria. The hotel is clean and the staff very helpful. The room was basic with a little balcony. The location approx. 3 km outside could be an issue for some. However, we rather enjoyed the walk to Assisi and back.

The hotel is set in the beautifull scenery of Umbrie. Very close to the lovely Assisi. The family running the hotel is more then friendly and there is a good cook in the kitchen. The breakfast is simple but sufficient with a good choise of homemade jams and marmelades. If you want ti visit Umbrie it is a great place... More

Excellent and very friendly staff. Great location -including jacuzzi- and hotel room. Absolutely fine dinner and breakfast. Nice view over the valley. In the vicinity of the beautiful town of Assisi. Marvellous countryside trips.

We stayed for three nights in this hotel. Very friendly people, good food and near the beautiful city of Assisi. If you don 't like groups of noisy Italian people having lunch or diner, this might not be your choice. We didn't bother and enjoyed our stay very much.

My mother and I had booked a cycling tour around Umbria and this was our first and last night stay. The hotel was spotlessly clean and had very good facilities. The family who run the hotel are absolutely dedicated to providing only the best food and wine, which they source locally and the result is superb. They are so enthusiastic... More

We arrived after emailing Hotel Viole about our request for staying in a quiet, romantic hotel in Assisi. They explained it was very quiet. They were very kind in arranging our ride from the train and very attentive until we arrived at the hotel and had a very eye opening experience as the hotel does not match the pictures on... More

Management response:

The review was written by one of our competitors, the profile is recorded by a user who lives in Assisi; You can read the other review for realizing the truth of the structure. And in any case I explain: the website photos were taken by me with an ordinary camera; the Jacuzzi is constantly at 35°; the walls are soundproofed;... More

We stayed in a family room. Very comfortable double bed and bunk beds for the 2 children. There was a small balcony and the bathroom was small, but all OK. The pool and spa were brilliant for all of us. Parking was easy. WiFi was available throughout and reliable. We ate dinner at the hotel, outside in the garden, after... More

I meant to write about this small hotel when we got back from Italy last fall, but then I thought it may be better to do it at the beginning of this year's season - as you can see, I haven't forgotten. Italy is still full of family-run hotels and, as a rule, they are a joy. Hotel Viole is... More

“All of the rooms are loud, the walls are thin and the halls echo, also the doors slam shut so you can hear people coming in and out of their rooms all day and night. If you want a quiet relaxing experience don't come to this hotel.”
