Spectacular in all forms of the word. From the windy drive to the hilltop castle to the stunning views once there everything about Castello di Peoria is fairytale like. The actual castle is like a little town. Our room was immaculate and set over two floors with a jacuzzi on the ground floor. Special mention to the waiter. He was... More

Exceptional location, views and staff. Looked after from start to finish and cannot thank everyone enough for such a wonderful weekend. The views are exceptional and easy access to the local towns. The castle is like a fairytale castle and the rooms are surprisingly warm and cosy considering!

What's not to like about this gorgeous place! Charming, rustic, staff was attentive and even when we told them we needed to leave early the next morning found time to bring breakfast offerings up to our room because we were leaving before the breakfast room opened. Dinner in their restaurant was fantastic. Service impeccable. Horseback riding with Gianluca on Freesian... More

We had such a wonderful five night stay here at Petroia! It is as I guess everyone writes. The views are stunning - and changes with the weather and time of day. The castle itself is magnificient with a watch tower, terraces and battlements. The room we had (the squirrel) was large, on two floors and with a huge hot... More

The Castello provided a magnificent stay for our honeymoon. We took advantage of the opportunity to stay in multiple rooms during our stay, including the tower room. Each room is well-appointed with modern amenities. Views from the property are breath-taking, the food is excellent and the service is impeccable. I highly recommend the Castello to anyone staying near Perugia or... More

We arrived at the hotel early evening in the middle of August and it seemed strangely deserted. In contrast to the pictures on the website, it is in fact in a valley not the top of a hill, and our feeling was that it was a strangely depressing kind of place. Staff perfectly pleasant, but the whole ambience was out... More

We spent one night at Castello di Petroia on our tour through Europe and it was well worth the trip - my husband and I both agree that it was the highlight of our trip. We arrived at 2 p.m. and were given a wonderful tour of the grounds and a brush up on the history. The front desk gentleman... More

The welcome was warm and charming and included a brief tour of the castle. Our room was not as spacious as some of those depicted and was a little gloomy as it faced inward across a narrow alley towards a stone wall. Dinner was excellent and the courteous and efficient service from the waiter Paolo was outstanding. Removal of a... More

We traveled from the US and spent three days here and I have never in my life been treated so wonderfully at a hotel. This place is the stuff of fantasies and fairy tales! They truly make you feel like royalty. The food is out of this world and the rooms are spacious and very comfortable. The staff is like... More

My wife and I started our 2 week honeymoon with a three day stay at CDP. We stayed in the tower room which is really unique, but don't stay in that room unless you are okay climb some stairs. Everything from the scenery, to the staff assistance, to the pool, and to recommendations on activities in the area was great.... More
