We recently stayed for 3 nights. Firstly, we thought the staff was really good---friendly, helpful. Unfortunately, there were some hiccups, in part due to nature. We reserved the tower room. We were told at check in that there was an insect problem due to the...More

Old castle with nice rooms, advisable to have dinner in the restaurant. Very close to Gubbio. Service is nice but not as friendly as is could be typical in Italy. Recommenced for a romantic weekend or a dinner

This is a superb castle. Our family came here in August 2018 on holiday. The views are magnificent, the food is excellent and the staff are fantastic. Castello di Petroia is magical! There is also a good swimming pool.

We stayed here for one night. The castle is out in the country with nothing around but peace and quiet. Staff was very friendly. The food at the restaurant was outstanding. I definitely recommend a meal there. Get something with veal if you enjoy veal.

Sorry for not answering earlier. I am not too good with these things. In Umbria you really need to rent a car. Most things tend to be on hilltops and trains are not the best way to get around since they run in the valleys.
