Nice staff, clean. Good location, close to most of the important city sites. Much less expensive than other hotels closer to the river, but within easy walking distance. Hotel room a little small, decor a little dated. I'd stay here again.

The hotel is located close to River Rhine and the old center of Basel. Rooms were clean and spacious and offer free wifi. Breakfast buffet was ok although there was no hot food on offer. The restaurant does not have a restaurant, so you need to go out for dinner.

Excellent position in old town, friendly and helpful staff and pleasant and convenient rooms. We were upgraded to a larger room (perhaps as it was the weekend) and a standard room would have been quite small. Good breakfast.

Hotel was well located within very short walk of bus and tram stop. Rooms were modern and comfortable, though a little small, Closet space was at a minimum , but bathroom was well supplied. TV picked up many channels, though only a few n English. Breakfast was good European-style with all you can eat. Staff was very helpful with suggestions...

We visit Basel regularly but was our first time at this hotel. Absolutely no complaints. Hotel is modern, close to town centre, lovely bathroom and friendly staff. The only negative element was that there was no coffee or tea making facilities in the room

The Location in the City is ideal, no parking available. Nearby some 300 m there is a parking Location, that is however heavily used. The staff at reception is friendly. The Hotel rooms are average. Only breakfast is served or better one has to take it from the Counter.

Hotel D is about a half block from Rhine River. When locating the hotel it is easy to walk by as its a tan building, signage of hotel is black writing on black glass. A great choice for visiting Basel. In a city where most things are very expensive, this is a good value option that still offers clean, comfortable rooms and modern decor. Staff were friendly and breakfast is included (and delicious!)

We stayed one night in Basel before we left on a river boat cruise. The staff was very friendly and most helpful. The room was bright, clean, and ultra modern. It was easy to get to from the train station and then to take a taxi to the boat. Nicely located near some good shopping and restarants.
