Stayed here for 2 nights before Christmas and had the most wonderful stay. The staff are friendly and helpful and the rooms are clean and comfortable. The room has a great amount of storage, and the TV shows English channels which is fab when you just want a bit of home before bed. The bed was very comfortable and we...

Hotel Basel is one of my favourite hotels in Basel. It is in a fantastic location, the rooms are comfortable and the restaurant and buffet breakfast are both really good. The staff are fantastic and very helpful. One of our party was celebrating his birthday on the day we travelled and was gifted a box of chocolates, which was a...

This was really a great hotel to stay at in the heart of Basel. Close to everything so, very central. The staff was very nice as well. It is close to many good restaurants and within walking distance of the Xmas market as well

My wife and I spent a couple of days in Basel celebrating our wedding anniversary prior to joining a Rhine River cruise. We read the reviews and selected and booked Hotel Basel all through TripAdvisor. We found it to be a great place to stay. It was about a 10 minute ride from the airport. Our room was comfortable, clean,...

Stayed here on a short visit to Basel and wasn't sure what to expect but was pleasantly surprised. Rooms are not elaborate but nice and comfortable, very friendly staff, decent restaurant attached, and a great breakfast. Not very many other amenities in terms of gym etc. Walking distance from the main square and lots of trams, literally a few steps....

We spent 2 nights before a Viking River Cruise & couldn't be more delighted with this hotel. Location - perfect, & staff excellent - they answered all our questions even before we arrived. Room, large, lovely, & the little touches made it special. We loved everything about this hotel and the lovely town of Basel. You won't be disappointed -...

Great Hotel in a Central and Outstanding location. Very clean European size rooms. Great Breakfast as well. Excellent value in a fairy tale setting. Would highly recommend to anyone. Location is about 15-20 minute walk from the main Train station or about 20.00 Swiss francs (preferred). Euro not generally accepted anywhere here.

Hotel older but charming. Front desk staff very helpful. Room was comfortable. I was not overly thrilled with the breakfast as many here review but was adequate. Definitely recommend for those who have only a few days to experience Basel.

The hotel is in a perfect location in the city. A short walk or even shorter tram trip to the Christmas markets. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. The windows, although very good double glazed, can still actually be opened! Spotlessly clean & very comfortable. We were offered an upgrade for a small fee, to a larger twin...

Room was extremely nice, hotel staff was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the city. The mobility pass to use the trains was a great additional and unexpected feature. And the location made is very accessible to Christmas Markets, museums, cathedrals, and all the sites we were looking to take advantage of in Basel.
