Its location is good. Walking distance to many places. However i did not like Bern. Not so much thing to do. So i just stayed one night. Hotels in Switzerland are very very expensive. And they are not worth it. The rooms in that hotel were very very small.. Also the baths were too small. There were no toilleteries and...

Our room was clean, quiet, and spacious. The bathroom was very modern and clean. The attendants at the front desk were very nice and helpful. You can leave your baggage with them, and they'll lock it up in a small room behind the desk... very secure. Great location, too... very safe and only a 10 minute walk from the train...

The triple room is nice and clean although the lighting could be better. We found the room a little too dark even with all the lights turned on. There are no coffee making facilities in the room. Beds are clean and comfortable. The toilet looks like it has been added in after the room is done up but it is...

I traveled to Bern from Frankfurt by train and arrived at the Hotel Goldener Schlussel in the early afternoon. Check in was fast. My room was a single and situated on the third floor above the street. It was clean and more than enough space for a single person stay. It was too cold to keep the window open at...

The single room couldn't have been any smaller but it was functional and had everything in it one needs (incl. a safe). It was to oriented towards the street which could make it very noisy when you want to sleep with the windows open. Fortunately it was too cold for that. Good security with the card key. Clean but would...

The oldest hotel of Berne is located in the heart of Switzerland's capital and to reach after an interesting stroll - under the famous arcades - pleasant on a rainy day! - from the train station. The renovated room was cosy and clean. I did sleep very well but be sure to request a courtyard side room since the street...

I enjoyed staying at this hotel. It is close to the main station, close to the tram and also to the sight-seeing points. The staff is very kind, the food is good and if you get the room at the back side of the hotel, the sleep is perfect :-) Missed an English channel on TV.

I would rate this hotel differently if it wasn't in such a wonderful location...in the Old Town of Bern. The building is 500 years old and is claimed to be the oldest guest house in Bern. Pros: Close to restaurants, shopping and you are in the heart of Old Town so seeing the sights is within walking distance. Internet is...

This exceptional hotel is centrally located in the heart of town & an easy, short walk from the train station. The renovated rooms are very clean, but the pod-like bathroom additions can be a bit claustrophobic. Be sure to request a courtyard side room if you're looking for a good night's sleep since the street side can be noisy. The...
