We celebrated the Swiss National Day at this location. Great and authentic Swiss food with a nice view over the city of Bern. The service was good and the location was nicely decorated for the celebrations. Bratwurst with Rösti, Züri Geschnetzeltes, Egli Filets were all nicely cooked and served.

We adored our stay at Hotel Innere. The staff could not have been more inviting. Our room was large and bright with big windows and when the jazz concert was held at night the music came through our windows, it was just delightful.
The hotel breakfast was delicious with fresh fruit (the only hotel out of 5 that we stayed in that had fresh fruit offered). I asked for a recipe and it was given with such grace I could not have been more pleased.
There is a bus right out front (free on the Swiss Pass and the Bern app) that brings you right to the train station in 20 minutes.
The owner can be seen quite often which shows she really cares about her hotel and guests. On the morning of our departure I watched her put flowers she had just picked on each table setting for a large group. As I passed by, I commented on how pretty it looked she told me it was for a christening that they were having that morning. What a personal touch that certainly went above and beyond, I am sure that family appreciated it.
We really had a lovely stay with promise to return.

Our stay at the Unique Hotel Innere Enge was a highlight of our trip. The room was spacious, with a lovely view. We could walk to Old Town Bern, Universitat Bern Botanical Garden and the Aare River. Our breakfasts and dinners at the hotel restaurant were delicious and, while we ate, we had a view the Jungfrau, the Monch and the Eiger peaks. In addition, I accidently left some hats in my room and the hotel staff notified me and then mailed to my home. What incredible service.

Hotel refuses to return our deposit to us. Swiss Air Line cancelled our flight, we would have had to self-quarantine for 14 days upon arrival and another 14 day self-quarantine upon return flight to the US. Airline cheerfully refunded our money for the two flights, travel insurance returned our money, rental car in Switzerland returned our deposit. All but two hotels gave us our deposit back. Unique Hotel Innere Enge as well as the hotel in Zermatt refuse to do so. I sent an email to the Unique Hotel Innere Enge over a month ago and have not heard back from them. So, in effect this ripoff hotel gets to keep our money for twenty (20) months and we get nothing. Shocking that they can get away with this.

Overpriced, front desk staff are highly inauthentic and disingenuous.

There is a door code to be used after hours, which was given to us upon checkin. Halfway through our stay they changed the door code without any sort of heads up or information.

Due to this we came back one evening and could simply no longer enter the hotel and the “emergency/night phone” was not in service.

If it were not for another fellow guest who happened to have his window open, we as tourists would have been stuck on the street with no place to go at midnight.

This hotel failed in its core competence as a Hotel, which is providing someone a bed to sleep in and that is unacceptable.

Receiving a “sorry” and a breakfast voucher is borderline insulting.

Very special and beautiful house and location. Best view of the city of Bern and the Alps. Nice, but slow service. Food was ok but some was strange: the small portion of Calf's liver, in a thin sauce, was served with good Rösti, deep fried at the edges! The Vitello Tonnato was served as casually draped veal slices with hardly any sauce. And shame for not having a handicaped parking spot in front of the house!

Quiet hotel with lovely garden. Good location with bus stop in front of hotel. Reception staff friendly and helpful. Air conditioning in room not very effective so it was too warm. Pillows too soft but staff very kind to find a solution. Very good food in the restaurant. Service was professional and friendly though a bit slow due to full bookings for dining.

Room Tip: Best to eat dinner at 7,00 or before to get a nicer table by the windows before it gets filled.

The most beautiful place to stay in Bern. Lucious, peaceful park, spacious rooms, friendly staff and then the evening jazz performance made it extra special. I can't imagine ever staying anywhere else! Very close and convenient to get to the train station and the city center by bus

Nice romantic hotel with a great jazz club downstairs. A perfect weekend get away. Bistro style restaurant was a pleasant surprise. Rooms were spacious with a slightly retro feel. Beds were firm and comfortable and everything was clean and fresh. The jazz tents with students performing alongside the ongoing professional jazz performers in the club make it a destination rather than just an accomodation.

Ideally located, charming, cosy, quiet, clean and a wonderful and large room. The view from the dining room on the alps dominating the old town of Bern is unique. The best experience we had in a long time. Highly recommended for a short stay in Bern.

If you have a look at the hotel's website, they have photos of several sooms with sets of separate beds. I'm pretty sure the hotel staff can accommodate almost any room configuration to what your husband & grand-daughter need.

Our junior suite had a walk in shower and a bath in a large bathroom. You could lay in the bath and watch a tv. It's an interesting hotel and a good place to stay.
