We stayed for one night passing through from Bern to Milan and we liked it because it was next to Barenplatz and near the train station. Very kind staff and large rooms. Because it was in the center had some noise from the road at night but nothing serious. It is a simple small hotel but it has good location... More

Me n my husband checked in the last week of july. As it was summer, we were shocked to know that there was no fan, but thanks to the staff thy provided us with the portable fan. Apart from fan, everything here is perfect. Though, room size is small, but that shud nt be a prob as while travelling we... More

This small hotel is upstairs in a multi-use building, but has a handy elevator from street level. The elevator is tiny, but handy. During July's heat wave, a room without A/C was murder. You open the window, and the drunks at the cafe across the street sounded like they were at the door. Close the window and smother. What a... More

We stayed 2 nights in this Hotel and we enjoyed the cleanliness, the location near the Railway station and in the center of Bern. Moreover I booked the room 3 months ago and I find it a real value a 90 euros per night. The receptionists were very polite and when I asked for an earlier check-in because of my... More

We stayed at this 2 star hotel for 10 nights in July 2013 for 2 reasons: 1. it was located conveniently close to the train station; 2. at 120 euros per night it was cheap by Swiss standards. Otherwise we doubt whether it had any other redeeming features. Our room faced the inner courtyard, so it was quiet but we... More

We stayed here because it was one of the few places with vacancies when we arrived in Bern. We had an early train the next morning, so all we needed was a place to sleep for one night. The reception worker was OK, and helped us arrange a way to check out in the morning before reception opened. The room... More

I chose this hotel because it is the one near the train station but almost the cheapest (CHF140). Most of the hotels in Bern city are expensive than other cities in Swiss. I wonder if it is because Bern is the capital?! There is no air-con, no fan, no fridge, no breakfast, no free wifi (need to pay). We open... More

Located in the heart of Old Town Bern, great spot as close to everything. Large room & bathroom. Bathroom spacious and clean. No free wifi, but you can pay if you wish. Enjoyed our stay here would definitely go back. Has all the basics.

The room is clean but rather stuffy during summer. There is no A/C and fan in the room. Tried to open the window for ventilation but it's too noisy outside. The pillow is too soft for my comfort. Note that there is no coffee/tea making facilities in the room, meaning that you can't boil water as well. The room has... More

“Try and get a room away from the street. Every morning about 6am, there is a lot of noise, sounding like metal cans being tossed around and it goes on for an hour or so intermittently. I was told it was deliveries being made to the Migros supermarket. There were also sounds of party revelers in the early hours of the morning but this didn't last long. The window can be opened to cool the room down.”
