Geneva is a really expensive place, especially on hotels and restaurants. Manotel has a few 3-stars hotels here priced slightly more expensive than everywhere else in the world but still acceptable. The Kipling, located slightly further away from the main street, was still convenient enough. The Geneva lake and the surrounding places are about 8 mins by walk, the UN...

Nice Clean hotel in good location with friendly staff. Hotel has all you need but the bar and restaurant are very expensive as is the rest of Switzerland. Located very close to train station. I probably won't visit Geneva again but if I did I would use this hotel.

I'd like to start by stating that if possible I would have awarded this hotel 4.5 stars, it is by no means perfect but I don't believe it deserves only 4 so I've awarded 5. Staff at reception are very friendly and helpful, managing to get us into a room 4 hours before check in, and offering to look after...

Clean, well-appointed rooms. Not large, but the price, location, and value are fabulous. You avoid the randomness of small, local hotels - no uneven floors, oddly arranged rooms, or missing amenities. Scrupulously clean. Helpful staff - but this is not luxury service. Just a smoothly run hotel with comfortably appointed rooms (desk, mini-bar, well arranged closet for unpacking. Really comfortable....

Hotels in Geneva are very expensive for what you get. You never quite know what you'll find with a 3-star rating in this town. Although the Kipling shows some wear and tear in spots, the rooms are clean, the breakfast fresh and ample, and the service friendly. Unfortunately, the area where the hotel is located soured the stay; I worried...

Pros: Nicely decorated 5 minute walking distance to train station and 10 mins to the lake Clean and comfortable Fabulous large bathroom Cons: Not the nicest part of the city Rooms small and dark Very small lobby and public space Breakfast meagre In most other cities I would state this is incredibly overpriced, however Geneva is incredibly expensive.

The Kipling hotel does have a good location and it's probably why my work travel agent selected it. You can walk from the train station and that was a plus for a road weary traveler. The lobby is nice, and the front desk staff were also very friendly and courteous. The rooms were average and the bed kind of sagged...
