We stayed here for 3 nights in July. The only reason we picked this hotel was its location. You can walk from the railway station to the hotel and Kapelbrucke is also walking distance. The hotel is on a quieter road with superstores nearby. We had taken a suite,it was clean ,big enough with minimal decor. It really needs some decoration. There was a balcony.Initially there...

I had the disadvantage of having stayed in Luzern previously in a nicer hotel, so I will try to forget this as I review the Rothaus. First off, the restaurant is a real gem. Weary from travel when I checked in, I defaulted to dine in the hotel restaurant, and had delicious schnitzel and rosti with white asparagus. The service...

Clean and quaint and very European. You'll find the clear glass door to the bathroom a little bit more "open" than the privacy one normally expects in a hotel room and the restaurant might be a tad smokey, but you're in Europe. Chill out. Firm bed. Well located. Not a destination in itself, but a good place to rest.

This was the last stop on our Europe tour. The tour went off so well and we were all so excited that the weather was wonderful so we could make the best use of the time that was available for us. The last stop at this hotel was a complete disaster. The place is very ordinary and rooms are small....

we found this hotel on line, and I will say it was a pleasant surprise. we were a 5 minute walk to the city center, but it was easy to navigate. the hotel offered reasonable priced parking, a large selection of English speaking channels so we could unwind after our long day of walking and sightseeing. the restaurant menu looked...

Stayed for 2 nights here - generally okay with nice room and comfortable bed. I had a small balcony too which was good to get some fresh (and of course Icy) air. Limited facilities in room/bathroom. TV available but hard to find any English or Hindi channels. Bit offside but if you walk outside the hotel, turn left after the...

Went there last December. The hotel is located about 15 mins walk from lucerne hb. At first I had a hard time finding the hotel and the bus stop was about 3 mins walk. Once u know the directions, it's easy to find the hotel. The hotel reception was ok. I was given a password for wifi for my 3...

Stayed here whilst cycling solo from Lancashire to Sicily in May 2014. Good value and well located this hotel was fine for a short stay but the hotel is in need of a refurbishment, and could do with speeding up it's room prep as I was kept ages waiting for a room! The restaurant serves good local food and the...

This hotel has to find a way to air it out. The cigarette smoke is all over and everywhere. Breakfast, dining room, bedroom, even at the 4th floor. No air conditioning. The hotel is 10-15min away from the centre, by tram.
