An old building which transform into a Hotel but kept in a very good condition. Staff there are friendly and helpful. A bit distance to the shopping area but can take a slow stroll there along the river side. Close to Casino too for those who wish to play a handful of games there.

Spent a night at the hotel and absolutely enjoyed it. Built almost 150 years ago, the hotel has been modernized yet it still retains its old world charm. We've arrived at the hotel very early (around 10-ish), but fortunately for us, our rooms were ready to be checked in. All of the staff in the hotel were friendly and ready...

Rich exterior, nice interior but found the staff stuffy, not very friendly. I guess when a bartender's salary is approximately 1000 Swiss Francs a week .... they don't need a personality. The room was ? eh ? Nothing to write home about. No air conditioning and well in the 80's ( Fahrenheit ). The ceiling in the shower was so slanted...

We had an enjoyable overnight stay here recently. Loved the decor - a fusion of traditional & modern complete with a charming quaint lift.( There also are modern lifts a little way from the foyer). Room was comfortable with good beds, bed linen, and windows which very cleverly could be propped open. Missed having a kettle in the room though....

We spent 2 nights at the Grand Hotel Europe while on a tour and found it very nice. Our room was pleasant and even had a small balcony with a lake view. Construction was going on next door but it was not too noisy. We love old and charming and this hotel definitely fits that definition. It has a lovely...

The rooms are very nice and large, with good size storage and bathroom and a very comfortable bed. However, location is a little bit away from the center of Luzern. It is about a 5-7 min walk from the casino, and about a 10-15 min walk from the center of Old Town, with a further 5-7 minutes from the train...

It might look grand outside but this place is no more than a backpacker hostel. Small tiny uncomfortable beds barely above cot size. No aircon, no ironing board or iron and was told a resounding no when asked to use one, no tea or coffee facilities. Two very the pieces of something that we're supposed to be pillows.Only good thing...

Stayed at the Grand Hotel Europe after a Danube River Cruise. We arrived fairly early in the day with our tour group and the hotel did accommodate us by allowing us to check in. The Hotel is located across the street from Lake Lucerne so it had some lovely views. It is also located at the far end from the...

One of Gate1's hotels for the Germany,Austria and Switzerland 11day tour. It was rated 4 stars but I think Gate 1 needs to reevaluate this hotel for the tour! The beds were way too soft, no coffee pot, no air conditioning and the list can go on! My husband had to sleep on the floor, because of such a soft...
