Stayed in this old establishment a number of times during our ski trips to Wengen over the years, although most things seem to stay the same, charming as ever, however the food seemed to got saltier and saltier. Ski back straight to the ski rooms...More
First we didn't have the room for which we had made a reservation, so we had a small, dark and loud "superior" room on the south side - which I would say is not the best side. Then, we unexpectedly had to pay more than...More

We had the breakfast package for Hotel Falken and had dinner at Sina's which was spectacular. Falken has a wonderful formal dining room with linen and silver. At breakfast, guests are dressed for their day of skiing or hiking, depending on the season. If you email the hotel, they will give you a practical answer on the dinner dress code. Through the week they have some buffet dinners. The town is very outdoorsy casual.
We don't have any experience with the Swiss card, but the fare to the Top of Europe is pricey and not covered by a Eurail pass. If it works with your schedule, try to go on a clear day. The Ice Palace was my favorite. My children really enjoyed the sledding. Try fondue or raclat or rosti for lunch while you are there.
