The staff in the hotel were the most friendly I had ever come across and made me feel really at home. They were especially attentive when we asked for advice on ski hire/ instructors etc. and had arranged discounts with the local hire shop. We had breakfast and dinner included. Dinner was nice but may have been nice if a...

Clean rooms, friendly staff, good and generous food. Lovely atmosphere very relaxing. We enjoyed the jacuzzi and sauna. Excellent location for slopes. The owners are hands on in making sure all your questions are clearly answered.

We are just back from a lovely stay at the Astoria between Christmas and New Year with our two children - it is a fantastic family run hotel, extremely friendly, centrally located within a couple of minutes of the main lifts and the centre of town. As well as the spacious clean rooms and the warm welcome a real highlight...

This review is not about the rooms but the restaurant. This is the second time I come to eat at the Astoria because they have an amazing Fondue Chinoise buffet. There is a special nook for Fondue Chinoise and you can just help your self to various types of meat, sauces, and side dishes. The wine list is excellent too....

We found out about this hotel on trip advisor and it certainly lived up to our high expectations. The hotel is very warm and friendly, as well as efficient. The restaurant was very good indeed, with several themed evenings. We had an excellent family room that was of a very high standard. The hosts were really friendly, and our son...

We had a brilliant stay, starting with being given a choice of three rooms (all lovely) and offered evening meals at half price - and the food was excellent. Good location, very quiet and in a beautiful little town.

This is a wonderful hotel--lovely and well situated. Edith and Oliver couldn't be better hosts. Our room under the eves had exactly the clean Swiss lines and fabulous view that we look for in the Alps. The food was delicious. The service friendly, helpful and unpretentious. The train up to Arosa is also part of the adventure. The skiing (less...

My boyfriend and I had 4 wonderful days at the Astoria. Oliver and Edith were excellent hosts and the hotel staff were friendly and efficient. We decided on the full board with dinner and breakfast included, and did not regret it. The 5 course means were delicious and perfectly proportioned. The highlight was definitely Wednesday night's extravaganza - and should...
