I booked one night but stayed two. Rooms are a bit outdated but the staff are wonderful and there’s no need to pay for fancy in this town. All amenities in the room, has elevator and really clean. 12 CHF for breakfast and wonderful espresso machine.

Great location - although in Paradiso, only 20min on foot by the lake to the centre of Lugano. If you are with your car, this hotel provides cheap parking. Quick check-in and out. Room is simple but clean and comfortable with good AC and wifi. Great value for money on Lake Lugano!

We have stayed one night in this hotel in Lugano and we have loved it. The staff is kind, always there if you need something. It’s located in the city center, really close to the lake. Even if the rooms are a bit old fashioned, they’re really comfortable and spacious. Definitely a good value for money.

This is a small-scale hotel on walking distance from the city centre (rather far from the bus station where we arrived, but there is a railway station in the neighbourhood. The rooms are quiet, the breakfast is plentiful, and the price is very reasonable, especially for Switzerland.

This hotel is just 15 minutes from the city centre and 5 minutes from the lakefront. The rooms and bathrooms are a little bit old-fashioned, but really quiet (thanks to the fact that there are two doors between the main hallway and the bedroom, so you don't hear noise from other guests going to their rooms). You will enjoy the sober but sufficiently varied buffet breakfast, including various vegetarian options. Hotel staff was very friendly. Remember that Switzerland has slightly different sockets from the rest of Europe; large "round" plugs from other European countries won't fit.

This family owned hotel is outside of the "downtown resort" area so the price is right and its a lovely boardwalk stroll to the shopping, eats & drinks. The owner is a great guy - he gave us a great 15 min orientation and had a beer with us at the bar upon our return at night. Its a basic hotel, but its as good as basic gets! Our room was big with a nice clean bathroom and huge windows that opened fully to enjoy the views of the area. We could see a small piece of Lake Lugano! The area is under construction so parking is a bit confusing. After checking in & unloading the bags, a waiter jumped in the car to show us to the car park! Its not fancy - but i loved it!

Stayed at the Dischma Hotel following a day-long trip on the Bernina Express. A short bus ride from the train station, a short walk and we arrived fir check-in. We were warmly greeted and given a welcome drink to enjoy as we completed our registration. Although there is a large construction project going on near the hotel, our stay was very pleasant and quiet. The breakfast buffet included in the price of the room was extremely varied with many choices. The rooms and bathrooms were clean and comfortable. We especially enjoyed the air conditioning.

Great time in Lugano. Hotel Dischma was just as good as I remember. New owners (2006) are very nice. Rooms are nice enough. Accommodations are a great value at this hotel. I will continue to stay here when I am in Lugano.

Dischma Hotel is family owned and the owners are very friendly and indeed you can get a good history of Lugano just by listening to Mr. Patrik, the current generation owner. The staff, made out of mostly along family lines, are very friendly serving us at the Reception, Dining and Cafe areas. The room rates are very reasonable and the stay is guaranteed to be very warm and friendly and the location is very conveniently located 10 minutes walk to the town centre and Lugano Lake.

One the bright side, although the furniture and decoration is fairly date, the whole hotel is spotless. The beds are also excellent. The breakfast is amazing for a place of that standing (mid-range), with a lot of typical home made dishes. It is also very well located in Paradiso not far from the lake. The place looks family run and the warmly welcoming will be depending on the member of the family your are dealing with... We went there for a night stop on our way to Italy and that was very fine.
