One the bright side, although the furniture and decoration is fairly date, the whole hotel is spotless. The beds are also excellent. The breakfast is amazing for a place of that standing (mid-range), with a lot of typical home made dishes. It is also very well located in Paradiso not far from the lake. The place looks family run and... More

Despite some heavy construction right next door, we were so happy with our choice to stay at this hotel. The staff could not have been more helpful, the rooms were large and super clean, and the breakfast was one of the best we have had (and we have travelled a lot in Europe). Lugano is a short bus ride (1.90... More

The hotel is located in a quiet part of Lugano. It's within walking distance to the funicular and to the shore. The closest lake beach is about 10-15 min walking distance. It's about 30 min to reach the main part of Lugano on foot. We are a family of 3 (2 adults + 12 y.o. child). We had a quadruple... More

I spent three nights here on a business trip, though also taking my son, age 12. By the standards of an insanely expensive town, it was not too bad at CHF 155 per night. It is located in a quiet, rather nondescript part of town, but very close to the Monte San Salvatore funicular (a must) and just a block... More

(+) Traditional charm, with replicas of famous paintings everywhere, traditional furniture, curtains.... (+) Excellent air conditioner, one of those super-quiet ones near the ceiling (+) Breakfast buffet the most extensive we've seen so far, many choices of all kinds of foods, most seem to be prepared/made on site, fresh ingredients, fresh fruits (+) Nice service touch with glass of juice... From the moment we arrived, everyone at this hotel made us feel special! As we were checking in we were given the best orange juice ever! Receptionist and restaurant staff always willing to provide help on what to do and how to get there. Room clean and bright. Loved the stay. Will be back.

The service here is exceptional - front of house, breakfast service, cleaning staff... Friendly, helpful & very kind to our two young sons (we're even given soft toys). Our family room is perfect with double & bunk beds plus balcony and everything is spotless. We have enjoyed the walk along the lake in to the main city area but had... More

I loved this hotel, the breakfast and the service is excellent. This is located a bit far away from the train station but they offer the best tourist guide ever "Caroline"... Caroline is a bike for two persons, and it is for free if you stay at the hotel. Caroline is the best option for a city tour on bike.... More

We are four adults and stayed at the Dischma Hotel in Lugano for one night on Thursday, September 4, 2014. The hotel is a lovely building with lots of geraniums on all of the balconies, set back off of the main road. With the help of WAZE we found it without any difficulty. Check in was handled very quickly and... More

Enjoyed a 2 night stay here in late August. The property is just a few blocks from the Lake, and within walking distance of downtown Lugano -- if you like very long walks. We arrived by car and the car was actually a nuisance. The Parking Garage (SF10/day) was about 2 blocks by foot but quite an ordeal to find... More
