I spent 3 night at this Hotel and had the very positive surprise that I my room was upgraded to a room with a vue on the lake (the vue is an unforgettable one). There is no doubt that the Hotel needs some renovation work, which by the way they have started. Nevertheless, I would still highly recommend this hotel...

This hotel is perfectly situated, walking distance from the center and the view is stunning. You must have a lakeside room with large balcony! It's great to enjoy the setting and raising sun. The rooms are a bit outdated, but the bathroom fine. Breakfast buffet quite ok. Parking 16 euros, but if you lucky you can park cheaper at the...

The Lido Seegarten is a nice hotel with a magnificent view, but is expensive for what it is. I took a lake view room, which is worth the view. The room was fine, but the light bulbs were very low wattage and it was depressingly dark in the room and difficult to read. If the hotel wants to save money...

The hotel has a unique location right at the lake and only 10 min. walk to the city center. Restaurant and pool area are very nice. Rooms are clean, but clearly needs an upgrade. Staff were very serviceminded. Go there for the spectacular view and service and not for the less comfortable rooms.

Our room took 5 hours to cool off enough for sleeping -- so we got 3 hours of sleep before an early morning train. The hotel claimed there was no other room nor fan available -- and the next morning the co-owner refused to make any significant adjustment to the 365 Euro price for our one night stay (it was...

The furniture is old. The bed is not comfortable. Really expensive for that old furniture. The parking is 16 CHF per day. The view from the balcony is spectacular if you choose lake view Message to the hotel: change the furniture and the carpet. Location is 15-20 min waking to the center of Lugano

Stayed here for four nights on August bank holiday . Nice location for exploring Lugano and surrounding areas in neighbouring Italy .Rooms were pleasant enough but two single beds pushed together not ideal ,no black out curtains in room also not great and should be obvious necessity. The restaurant was ok for breakfast, didn't have evening meals here so can't comment...

One of the most romantic hotels ever, we didnt prebook, just popped in when it was a peek time middle of the summer and we got a warm welcome, booked 2 rooms. Best moments were watching the sunrise early morning and swimmjng in the lake before breakfast. Loved it

The Lido Seegarten is, by far, my favorite hotel in Lugano. The lake front location is perfectly situated, a little off the town center and promenade but easy walking distance. Lake side rooms offer a spectacular view and the included breakfast is generous and of high quality. The staff is very friendly and accommodating.

Stayed for one night with my husband on our road trip. The view over the lake was incredible. The room was okay - meaning the interior is a bit outdated and should be renovated. Service was great and bar downstairs was cozy. Breakfast variety was average. The pool and direct lake access were a definite high light.
