There was not hot water of which the manager explained to me that there are too many people taking hot showers and the furnace would catch fire if they set it to hot. I'm guessing it is poor quality but pretty disappointing after a day of skiing to not have a hot shower. They only give you one blanket with...

The stay here was great the front desk staff knew everyone by name and would always greet you when you came back inside. There is a very welcoming feel, after already been traveling for over a month staying here was a great way to relax and have a good time. Only a five minute walk to the chairlift or to...

Cheapest place to stay in Zermatt and great value considering the absolutely amazing location! Only about a 5-10 minute walk to the central part of town and the ski lift, so very accessible! The room we stayed in was very cold, even with the radiators on we had to wear our coats to bed because the blankets provided were very...

Recommendable night stay after finishing our Walker's Haute Route (from Chamonix to Zermatt). Perfect location for a fair price (not too far away of cable cars for winter sport or hiking in summer, hostel is also close by of city center). There is no other option in such low-price range available in Zermatt. Spontaneous changing of our reservation was easily...

I am a hiker on a budget, staying at basic mountain huts throughout my trip - I was not expecting great comfort, but this hostel was probably the worst place I ever stayed at. The hygiene standards at this hostel were appalling. Showers were dirty and cold half of the time. Beds were not touched by staff even after people...

The room was fairly basic but it was clean. As we checked in before anybody else on that day we were given our own private room which was a nice gesture. The price for the room was good, considering Switzerland is very expensive. Fantastic setting by the river and close to all the shops and attractions!

You really can't beat the price in Zermatt (30 Sfr/person). We stayed for two nights during the off-season and I heard the price goes up significantly in the winter. However, if I had to do it again, I would have considered paying a little more for cleaner, more comfortable lodging. The hostel feels cramped, but serves its purpose. There are...

This is the kind of hostel that you go to because you want to visit Zermatt, not a hostel you would choose to visit for the joy of staying there. It had a good restaurant, and you had a chance to get sleep for the night, but otherwise there wasn't a lot to recommend it. The hostel itself is spread...

I choose this area on the fly and it was the best decision ever. The place we stayed was nice an quite but very well priced. The cost of lift passes is reasonable, but the views from the mountain make it all worth the travel.
