Just had a wonderful weekend at Hotel Hemizeus. The hotel is on the edge of town, heading up the valley, so not central but with a stunning view of the Matterhorn. We were lucky enough to be upgraded to a room with an amazing view. Service in the hotel was excellent and had a real family feel to it for... More

We just returned from a wonderful stay at the Hotel Hemizeus. It was our first time skiing in Zermatt and the Palazzo family were very welcoming. The room was a good size, clean and with everything you need. The spa was fantastic after a day on the slopes and the meals were delicious. The hotel is a bit out of... More

There is no denying the fact that Hemizeus is way out of town and and not that accessible. The reception closes at 21.30 and there is little effort to communicate or help guests when it is open. To get to the Matterhorn Express we were told by reception it was very easy to ski out. It was barely skiable and... More

Location is not for couples with children or old people - 10 minutes to go downhill to Furi ski lift (20 minutes to the train station) but back to the hotel - 15 minutes to go uphill from the Furi ski lift with equipment! Note - there is no public snowboard depot and InterSport depot nearby was always full. Taxi... More

First of all, the location of this place is a pain. To walk to the village you need to climb a steep and intense hill. It's a good ten minute walk from the village but the hill really kills you when walking up with your ski equipment. The rooms are rather run down and old, which wasn't unexpected, but they... More

This is a lovely place to stay in Zermatt. I stayed 3 nights in a pleasant terrace room not far from reception & lounge area, with wonderful views of the Matterhorn from my bed! Good size modern room with small but clean bathroom, big basin and mirror just outside bathroom. Some rooms have small kitchens in them as well. The... More

We've just spent a fabulous 4 days at this hotel and found the staff to be extremely friendly and polite. The room was a good size, well-appointed and extremely clean. We were also fortunate enough to have a room staring straight at the Mattehorn. Breakfast was fabulous - a great variety of things to choose from which would satisfy the... More

We stayed here in summertime, was nice and quiet. The hotel is at the top of the town and has uninterrupted views. We had a room with a balcony overlooking the Matterhorn. The hotel is a long walk up steep hills from the centre of town. Call them from the train station when you arrive and they will pick you... More

We stayed here and were very pleased with our stay. The owners were very accommodating and we were given a room overlooking the Matterhorn. They picked us up and dropped us off at the train station. Breakfast was very good. The only downside was it is quite a walk into the village. Gwyn and Sylvia Hughes

I was in Zermatt for a ski racing camp on the high glacier of the Klien Matterhorn and thought the hotel was good value but has disenchanted with the 20 minute hike up hill to the hotel each day.
