The hostel is a bit expensive, but I had a good stay. The staff were really nice and kind. The place looks really fine, with a lovely outdoor space and common area. The room is ok, clean, spacious but maybe too dark as the windows are very small and to have some privacy it was necessary to close the curtains...

Great hostel. A bit expensive, 40 Franks per night is too much but ok...In general Lausanne is an expensive city. The stuff was really nice and helpful. The breakfast really really full and delicious. The only negative was that the WiFi signal was toooooo slow... not good connection in the rooms I suppose....

A group of 26 adults and students spread across two floors in groups of 1 - 4 people can be a challenge but this hostel (which is linked to the one we came from in Sion) was great at accommodating us. Our rooms were allocated quickly and everyone settled in. We had space to practice and rehearse for our choir...

This hostel is really nice with a lot of facilities. Staff is always happy to help you. It is price wise for Switzerland. To reach the hostel from the city centre, you need to use public transport but after you learn how to use it is really easy. As it is explained in the booking, Wifi it is only in...

Compared to most city hostels, this one is definitely much nicer. Nice garden, nice common area etc... As usual in Switzerland, however, it was extremely expensive. About 70 CHF for a single room without the bathroom! The breakfast was very good with lots of choices. Much better than you'd ever expect from a hostel, even in Switzerland. A very nice...

The staff in this hostel are incredibly helpful. The facilities are great (more like a hotel than a hostel !) The breakfasts are awesome and the place is well located and easily accessible by bus from the city centre. I had a great stay here and I would recommend 100 %

I enjoyed my stay at this Hostel. I had a single room, very clean, but note that there is no hairdryer. The rooms are all around gardens, where you can relax and play ping pong, volley, chess etc. The position is perfect to reach the lake, quite fra from the city center, however they give you a card for the...

The location was both good and bad: it's extremely close to the lake and some Roman ruins and an athletic park, which I greatly enjoyed, but just far enough from the old town to be slightly frustrating. You do get a transport card though! There are also pluses and drawbacks to the hostel itself. The rooms and the courtyards are...

The rooms were clean, food was ok and the place itself was nice enough. What you would expect from a youth hostel really. The one big issue was the lack of ventilation, I struggled to sleep at night due to how warm it was! Close to the lake though, which was a massive bonus.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The city of Lausanne stands on a hill and has steep, narrow streets, so strong muscles are required, particularly for the uphill climb to the cathedral, the most important Gothic monument in Switzerland. Window-shop in the bric-a-brac and antique shops or take a breather in one of the numerous bistros and bars, or along the lovely promenade of the former fishing village of Ouchy, in the Musee de la Photographie, which is worth a visit, or at the Swiss Cinematheque (with its picture archive of famous Europeans) or Olympic Museum (the only one in the world). ... more   less
